The bloke reminds me that when you drop a massive fart and it lingers on forever. He has some right brass neck still hanging round after the beating he took at the last election. His comments are now irrelevant.

They will have to drag old Steptoe out kicking and screaming. Most would fall on their sword after such a defeat, this guy still thinks he was right.

I don't agree at all, I think he's good at holding the Prime Minister to account in the House of Commons, asks poignant questions, and while his brand of politics (as well as his own personal brand, for that matter) took a hammering in the General Election, Corbyn's policies are generally well-meaning if excessively left-leaning for the average Joe.

But really, Corbyn's image is in the toilet due to an ongoing, highly effective smear campaign. A lot of people have told me they 'can't stand' Corbyn (or worse), and the reasons are just Daily Mail headlines or some tosh about the IRA.

Corbyn lost, primarily, due to dithering around Brexit and because his own party was in disarray - but equally, because his campaign against Johnson wasn't anywhere near as fierce as the endless nonsense directed at Corbyn through the tabloids and then through the dimwits on social media that read those tabloids and mindlessly share nonsensical/factually challenged memes.

Again, I do not believe for one second that even a quarter of the people that 'hate' Corbyn actually have a valid reason for doing so. The fact people spoke through gritted teeth and frothed at the mouth at the mention of the word 'socialism' but don't know what it means tells you all you need to know. A soundbyte electorate ready to dislike something the second they're told to. Meanwhile, here we are today, and Corbyn hasn't said a thing wrong about coronavirus or the response to it, at least to my knowledge, and more and more businesses are desperate for a slice of socialism now that they're no longer wrapped head to toe in their bubble wrap of financial decadence and security.

    Idiots.

Not suggesting you're an idiot, because you're not - but Corbyn's a punching bag, and hasn't done a lot wrong lately. Again, I wouldn't say his comments are irrelevant, neither are Theresa May's for that matter.

Whilst Corbyn is now a busted flush and should probably have resigned straight after the election, it is ironic that we have never had such socialist agenda being pursued in our history.
Even stranger that it is a Tory government that is having to save Capitalism through Socialism.

Difference is that this type of socialism (rescue) if applied by a socialist government would be applied with the view that a future capitalist government would be left to pay it back....

Listend to a short interview last night with Lisa Nandy and although Long-Bailey & Starmer are possibly the favourites IMO Lisa would be the one to get the fratching parts of the Labour party together. But no doubt the party faithfull will blow this chance and Labour will once again be a very weak opposition and any government in power (even with an 80+ majority) need a strong opposition.

After Corbyn supporters have moaned about other members and MPs not giving him their full support I wonder if they will give Starmer their full support like they were demanding or will a lot of them disappear.

Another Champagne socialist who will appeal to Londoners and less so to northerners. A clever bloke though and once again no woman leader

He looks nice though. Labour could put Nookie the bear in charge, they'd still rip each to bits with internal fighting. Until they stop beating themselves they will never beat anyone. As it currently stands Labour as a party are finished until the warring factions drop their own agendas. Its one thing the Tories do very well, they hate each other behind the scenes but always put on a united front of sorts when it comes to winning elections.

I posted that I'd watched Lisa Nandy the other night and IMO she had way more in common with the Labour electorate, Long-Bailey is the female version of Corbyn talking as if Labour had not recieved the biggest electoral backlash in living memory, Starmer not quite as bad but still thinks Brexit can be reversed.
The way the EU have acted as a supposive unified group of countries helping each other, seems not to have happened during this crisis, what happened to a unified approach, very much every country for themselves so much for unity.
Let's hope medics around the world have a more open mentality and share informationin with regards this virus and an anti virus may be found sooner rather than later.

No ethnic leader either. What's your point about no woman leader?

Who cares if a it's a woman or not? Labour needs the best leader possible because they've gone from PL to div 2 quicker than Bradford City and they need to make the next 4 years count.

If Labour can't win the next general election then I feel it could end them.

He has 12 months to make a difference.

Seriously Bradford City have more chance of getting to the Premier League than Keir Starmer and his crew have of overturning an 80+ majority, at best with policies that appeal to many past Labour voters they may have a chance in 2029 if the government run their full terms.
