They’ve had security cameras up ever since it was closed and trespassers caused a fire?

Is that where the unveiling of Josh Windass is taking place?

The days when I went there to swim……..

Better use, that it is redeveloped into Training/Sports facilities, rather than just rot.

I sense some doubt but they backed up their previous promises with a new club shop roof.

The obvious next step is a £10m state of the art training facility on this unused site.

That's for the next zombie film 28 decades later and will coincide with a Billy Sharp announcement.

The Odeon rotted for 20 odd years. We will be firmly in the ground by the time this project is finalised.

Yep. Bradford (and lots of other places) work in mysterious ways. The whole issue of ‘Listing’ Buildings seems totally bizarre.

I understand this Grade ll one was demolished recently!!

The stupid listing of Dunn's sport centre , has hampered any future development.
I believe its just the concrete arches, so you can knock everything else down, as long as you don't touch or damage them.
Which ever idiot, who proposed and passed this, i would say needs their brain testing, but its obvious they do not have one.
The council have two sites with this and the stadium, that could bring vast amounts into the city's coffers and thus reduced the need to milk the decent people, who actually pay their council tax
Instead they are proposing to kill any trade on an evening in the city centre, by increasing parking charges in some places from £1 total cost after 6pm till midnight to £2 per hour, or £8 if your of to see a show at Georges , Alhambra or Bradford live and stay 4 hours . BRAIN DEAD , but i think most on here know that already
    Rant over

Left to rot and be vandalised, as the cost of listed restoration too great, steel frame , metal clad buildings are far cheaper.
The owner should be made to restore in its entirety and if not willing the land confiscated.

There is a relatively new sports complex at Sedbergh Leisure Centre that is very well used, with a 9% hike in Bradford council tax I would think revamping Richard Dunn's is way down the list of priorities, then again we're dealing with a Labour council who don't find a problem spending other people's money, I wonder who they learned that exercise from ;).

It was demolished yesterday Rod I passed it this morning, maybe planning permission for a new structure or housing trumps Graded buildings as I believe that's what the land will be used for.
Hardly ideal a major road both sides of the development.

And if they run out? No problem, simply demand more.

Sustainability and budgets are just economical buzz words.
