but not in football, as I said we have lost out on a signing before due to waiting for them to return from holiday. That is why clubs fly people back sign and then take them back away

Nothing's certain that's for sure. But my instincts tell me it won't be Adams

 

Just an alternative view. Whilst I think Adams would be a good shout I think the whole issue around Morecambe and the play offs could indicate it’s not him. If this is the case who else could we be waiting for. Could it be Paul Heckingbottom interim manager at Sheffield United. They haven’t finished the season yet and I’m guessing he’s unlikely to be offered the job full time also had a previous spell at City. Downside is he might not be prepared to drop to bottom division from the premiership. As I said it’s just an alternative option. Think I’d rather have Adams but if not him or Heckingbottom are there any other manager in the Championship who might drop to take the City challenge on.

I agree, he could have kept them interim until the summer. However it wouldn’t be the first time Sparkes has made a decision to then reverse it a short time later.

 

Because the retained list was decided and then we are moving in to next season mindset fully in which T & S were not going to be apart of no matter what.

I’m hammer Sparks but you all need to look at the players who left the club in Jan, Sparks tries to give people the opportunity to sort their futures out quickly. He’s offered T & S the chance to stay in different roles but they might not want too but he knows they have until the new manager is fully announced to decide.

 

Why keep interim?

They all go on holidays now when not in play offs etc.
Covid will obviously put the dampeners on that unless there are spare beds on the Ascension Islands.
