Shame Gareth Roberts wasn't taken to Valley Parade instead of Park Avenue in his younger days, or better still a visionary who saw the benefit of a stadium for both Bradford Football teams to use.
I know he wants Bradford Park Avenue to be a community venture but could we dare to dream this guy could do so much more with regards sport in Bradford, yes I'm just being selfish :(.

Obviously they aren't expecting league football any time soon then.

    What's £600,000 to a multi billionaire.

Multi billionaires don't just waste £600,000. That's why they're multi billionaires.

Irving Weaver is not in the same league as Gareth Roberts financially, yet he knew when he laid the pitch at Harrogate if the team progressed to EFL status he would have to lay a new pitch.

Harrogate probably covered the cost of the pitch as it was rented out a few times every day, will Park Avenue be the same?

Out of interest who owns the pitch ? Is it the club or has he split the club from the ground?

Reading the article I would think they are hoping the Bulls return to Bradford.

Your question doesn't have a simple answer since Bradford Council owns Horsfall but it has given a long lease to BPAFC CIC (owned by Gareth), similar to the arrangement CIty has with the FL pension fund for VP. But there are differences at that point.

Unfortunately, sometimes simple questions have a complex answer which doesn't fit into simple boxes.

    I’ll change the question then.

who has funded the £600k and who keeps the income/profit from things like renting it out? Does it benefit the club at all

Roberts funded some but not all of it despite what Bronco posted earlier. Some came from the Football Stadia Improvement fund, some from the PL and some from other private sources.

Given the 'ownership' structures and types of organisations involved, I'd expect the community trust to retain any profit for its interests in the wider community. But I'm not naive and I'd also expect some of it to help the club albeit indirectly.
