You are correct, from Thornbury roundabout all the way into town either via Leeds Rd or Barkerend Rd there isn’t a single pub left open. Same with Manchester Road.
Sad really! But the writing was on the wall as early as the late 70’s.

Thornton road, 100% shittier. My opinion.

 

Thornbury, then Victoria and the 5 Lane Ends. Biggest problem with 5 Lane Ends is stuff constantly changes and think that is because they try new stuff there all the time

 

Poor stock levels with products out of stock and empty shelves coupled with rising prices mean there are much better options when shopping

 

As yourself born and bred in BD3 I rarely go near BD3 but the last time I did as you say the pubs I used to frequent are no longer selling beer if there still standing, in fact I'm not sure from the Junction at the bottom of Gain Lane to the Juntion at Vicar Land all the pubs are gone, similar with the pubs on Leeds Old Road/Barkerend Road are still in business.
