    How do you measure success
first team is easy promotion, playoffs
    thats upto MH now

commercial, new business improved deals- we should get ££ figures to confirm this. Otherwise its just back patting

social media , followers likes etc, we can see this

    brand and campaign director
How do we measure this, we have 1 campaign a year to a very captive audience, whats the target, why do we need?- rumours are any new brand has been canned

Personally I would just love to see a manager last longer than a season. If Mark Hughes ends up seeing out his 3 year contract then for the first time since Parky walked, taking his infrastructure with him, we will naturally have a club that will reflect the ethos and ambitions of the manager. Mark Hughes seems to me to be here for all the right reasons - he's taken a team of players who were scared to take a touch because they'd be hung out to dry in the press by the gaffer, into something resembling a football team - and an attacking minded one at that. It's one of the most difficult tasks in the game to change mentality/instill confidence into players but Sparky's managed it for me and I think he deserves to be supported as much as possible in every way going in order to get this team on an upwards curve once again. We will never have a better opportunity to do this than with this intelligent, footy-daft superstar of the game and I dearly hope that we fully support the man. We are in desperate need of a period of stability and growth, we need foundations to be laid not just for a promotion season but for the years ahead. Just before Sparky was appointed I was at an all time low in terms of my feelings towards the club, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. I was utterly disillusioned, sick of watching the laborious, tepid crap that was on offer each week and the possibility of any improvement just seemed to be slipping further and further away. There were few realistic managerial appointments that could have been made that could have had the effect of revitalising my love for City, or indeed, instilling any sense of optimism or excitement for the coming season. I would argue that Hughes wasn't even a realistic appointment - I remember being told by my brother the day he took charge and I was shocked, to say the least.
If Mark Hughes is in charge in 3 years time then I would argue that we are finally beginning to do the right things...

    Awesome post.

I was initially put off by the lack of use of the enter key, but I couldn't agree more with what you're saying

Agree on every point, in fact.

    What Jon said.

Hughes interest in coming to us was so completely unexpected and out of the blue that none of us, club included, could have seen it coming. The fact that he's now here is great, but it will mean nothing if Rupp and Sparks don't back him to the hilt with what he needs. Come on City, please don't f*ck this up.

This season, top seven, minimum Wembley trip, keep Hughes and next season top three. Ideally top three this season, but small steps and we just need real tangible progress to start with
