Not a surprise tbh. I watched snippets of the HGate game…. He looked lost in a 5 man defence tbh.

 

Yes he did but it wasn’t a penalty in a million years, we all know that. Nothing more than a “coming together”.

 

Nope, ref should have been sympathetic to the conditions, but I still think it is harsh to judge any player on their performance in that game. The ball was getting left behind at times, stuck in the bog. The roll wasn’t normal

Interesting interview with Foulds from Parker in the T and A. I always thought Foulds would have been the one to ask for a loan move but according to this the club told him he was going out on loan, a strange decision for a player who had played the last 18 games at left back and had come out of talks with the manager feeling that it was just 'healthy competition'.
Its in the past now and the lad now has his permanent home at Harrogate Town, but i always felt the move was a strange decision from Hughes. The signing of Bola, albeit in hindsight, was a complete failure and the decision to oust Foulds left us with a player returning from injury in Ridehalgh as the only option.

 

Didn't Hughes say he was surprised that Foulds didn't want to stay and fight for his place?

 

Seems someone hasn't got their story straight. I know that Foulds was gutted when he had to go, it certainly wasn't in his plans, it wouldn't be as a lad who had been a fan of the club and had always wanted to play for them. Putting that to one side, i thought he'd done more than enough to warrant being in the starting squad. Hughes thinking a change in left back was gonna somehow change our fortunes when in reality the problems lied elsewhere.

 

Hughes doesn't know his arse from his elbow and needs to go.

We'll never know the full truth of what happened and both sides interest to look like the innocent party so the real truth is somewhere in the middle. The signing of Bola was the right idea in terms of wanting a quick, more athletic and attacking left back but we got the wrong player.

 

Are we being led by the nose? We keep getting conflicting information from ex players. Cricklow said Piera was ace in training and worked really hard and really warranted a place in the starting line up. Obviously he might be his mate but I am becoming concerned at the amount of players who apparently do not fit into Hughes plans especially as he signed them in the first place.

 

His man management seems to be poor

 

Both Sutton and Foulds dropped last week. Two players who are National League level in my opinion.

Credit to Hughes for sussing out they were not good enough for us

 

Shame he only did that after offering them both new 2 year deals. I imagine we could have signed a fairly decent player on the wages saved.
