Oh I’m sure he’ll play , however that type of attitude from a pro footballer is poor imho. No wonder Hughes didn’t want someone around the place in a sulk?

This claim he has a bad attitude is unfair. Based on unsubstantiated crap/Karl’s post. All Hughes said is that he thought he’d stay and fight for his place.

How do you know, though, if he actually disliked Hughes/wasnt happy with the system/wanted a move to play CB elsewhere/thought his place was under threat anyway???

……..Nobody but the player truly knows, yet fans are jumping to lazy conclusions. you’d expect Hughes to say he wanted him to stay as it gives him more depth and options in two positions.

He waited his time and fought for his place all this and some of last season when not first choice but when given the chance he took it and has been a good defender for us. Hughes had to justify his decision to replace him and has hinted it was the player who wanted to leave but this is unlikely. Fould's has done nothing wrong, he trains hard and plays well. But maybe he isn't Hughes cup of tea and he knows he will be second best while Hughes is here. Good luck to the lad he is a honest hard-working pro

No idea, I never used the word lazy anywhere, in any comment. If MH told the truth I don’t see a problem really?

Why bring a left back in if you are not going to play him. We already have a good player in Ridhual but Hughes wanted a player of his choice and may have given gaurantees the loaner will be first choice as is often the case. Players need to know the manager has confidence in them to hang around. Hughes actions made it clear he would be second choice and not in his plans. Most players would leave given the option under the circumstances and Hughes knew this after all his years in the game.. He is been unfair and aittle underhand and while he may fool a few supporters the players will have taken note of how he handles things for the future

Yeah but it's a bit like AFC Wimbledon claiming the credit for winning the FA Cup.

Few posts up where you say ‘that type of attitude’ and label him a ‘sulk’…..based on nothing.

I’d say the opposite is actually true. He had to bide his time last year when Ridehalgh was playing well and he didn’t sulk, or spit his dummy out, as another poster has suggested he’s done here

So I ask again, where did I use the word lazy. Don’t put words into my mouth please. I am more than happy to attribute anything I say , when I did actually say it. I ain’t shy.

    WHERE?.

Foulds has been a model since he's been here, seems proud to play for his home town team. The manager brings in a player he sees as better, Foulds deducts, rightly in my opinion, that the manager sees him as not good enough for the role he needs and decides he's better.getting a chance of game time elsewhere. I think Hughes comments about him fighting for his place were his own thoughts, but a little unfair based on the players efforts at the club. If it had been me I'd have made the call to ring my agent, I know of other players who should have done exactly this in the past but didn't have the balls to do it.

I have no idea what has gone on with Foulds and would rather he stayed, but wouldn't the more ballsy thing to do have been to stay and fight for your shirt, rather than ring your agent? Seems a rash decision and think there's more to it.

Let's forget this idea of fighting for his place. The new guy has.dropped two divisions, he ain't getting dropped, especially when he's been targeted in the first place. And then how exactly can Foulds 'fight' for his place when the left back spot has gone? It's not like Hughes doesn't know what he has to offer, he's not suddenly gonna grow a quicker set of legs which Hughes is apparently looking for.

Christ Kev, chill out! Get a pint down ya.

As I’ve already clarified, I said you and Karl are making lazy accusations about Foulds’ attitude being poor - based on little evidence and only your own assumptions. I never said you called the player lazy. Read the thread back.

anyway, have a good night fella!
