    Pre match drinks venue switched to The Lord Clyde after Julie (landlady) threatened to knack me for using the beehive.

    Sadly the beehive is really dirty, dead flies everywhere and you have to wash your hands after leaving, and on two of the last three visits, the beer was like bathwater with a bubble bath head.

    Sadly not my decision Rod, the beer snob (you know which one he is) had a bad pint and hasnt stopped crying since. The problem is that folk who only drink two pints, 23 times a year get very choosy and behave like prima donnas. My view is if it's crap, drink it faster.

    That said, Julie puts on sarnies on a Saturday and her beer is top notch. Give it a try.

    Looks like I picked a bad day to lay in some Adnams Ghost Ship 0.5% Pale Ale...but I did find a couple of Amsterdam's Boneshaker 7.1% IPA in a corner of the fridge.

    The Adnams isn't too bad, actually, but like all of these non- or de-alcoholised beers, there always seems to be something missing in the overall taste and experience.

    Must restock suitably in preparation for Swindon.

    Plum Porters are nice. I've had the St Peters one which is good. Titanic also make a tasty one - goes down well (he he). Enjoy!
