Frustrating.....maybe, But lets be realistic we couldnt get anyone as qualified and experienced as Hughes, Remember he is also learning the league himself after managing far higher up the football league with a hell of a record.
Numerous appointments at our club with the new messiah being mentioned after every managerial appointment only to be left disappointed countless times.
the club have invested heavily in the squad and we should let hughes finish the job before jumping on his back with a lack lustre performance at home, Remember we have been poor at home all season not just the hartlepool game.

Let's not dress this up this man is arrogant and refuges to change for anyone.

Clearly playing Saturday Tuesday takes its toll on players and today Clayton,Gillihead,Walker were clearly struggling and should of been changed for Banks,East,Chapman at half time.

The lad from Burnley is way off the pace again should of been off early and i believe had they not got the second he would not of changed nothing.

Will he stick with the same 11 Tuesday of course he will and we will go down the same crap again.

Callum cookes dad was in the pub pre match and said Hughes never even told him or made contact end of last season to say what his future was again maybe sour grapes but i dont think so.

Play off yes maybe but we are not good enough and this is a poor league and trust its league 2 with this arrogant prat at the helm next season.

Lets just summarise our attacking situation :

Wright - Scored goals, created chances. Got recalled an sold to another team

Chapman - Deployed as a 10 all season, which is not his position. Has shown flashes of brilliance the times hes deployed on the wing (his natural position) but Hughes won't play him there

Nevers - Played twice for a total of 15 mins, maybe less. Never seen since

Banks - Arguably our most creative player. Only ever Brought on with 20 mins ago. Hughes refuses to start with him

Oliver - Good target man. Could form a partnership with Cook if deployed correctly. Hughes refuses to play the pair together for any longer than 15 minutes

Perriera - Arguably the most technically gifted winger we've had in the last decade, a shadow of his former self. Doesn't even make the bench these days. Confidence shot due to poor performances as a result of Hughes' shit tactics

Eisa - Would make a decent attacker if he was deployed wide but Hughes insists on playing him down the centre, despite his first touch being wank

Young - A player who would of actually suited our current system, but Hughes knows better an decided to send him out on loan

Derbyshire - A good option to have, but not a reliable one, fitness wise

Of all those options, Hughes persists with

Costelloe - Never played a proffesional game in his life. Runs around a lot but does feck all besides losing the ball. Cant score for toffee an looks more lightweight than Jake Young, which is saying something. And yet Hughes persists with playing with him.

 

To clarfiy, I aint trying to knock the lad Costelloe, clearly this situation aint easy for him any more than it is for us. But Hughes should understand that you do not throw players under the bus. If they are playing shit then hook em.

What is the point in playing an attacker who doesn't create chances an misses every oppertunity that comes his way?

Why make changes in the 89th minute of the game? If it wasn't for Cook, we'd of lost that gamr by half time

Why not bring off players that are clearly knackered? Walker, Ridehalgh, Costelloe all look shot after the 65th minute but Hughes decides to bring off Halliday instead who was actually one of our better players today

Its not good enough. These shit tactics an man management skills will cost us promotion this season

 

I would like to see us pushing for three points from the start, you know all guns blazing 18000 crowd. None of that though we have to witness being outclassed by the mighty pools. Hughes picks the team and sets the tactics at home and it's all there to see and endure. Thank god for Andy Cook if he was playing in an attack minded team he would be on goal no 40 now, same starting 11 Tuesday i suppose.
