Very much doubt they would loan a player to a title rival.

If they are looking to move him on and it helps getting Newcastle around the FFP I think they'd definitely loan him to them but probably add a clause in stating they must buy him in July.

Why wouldn't they loan out someone who isn't good enough to get in their first team . Joking apart, if it happens you heard it hear first

Personally, if I was Bellingham's team I would be pushing him to either United or Liverpool rather than City or Real which are talked about being in the lead. I know you need to have the confidence that you can make yourself the first name on the team sheet no matter who else is at a club but why make things harder for yourself, go somewhere where they will build the team around you. After all not playing regularly also impacts you internationally as we Grealish and Foden have both shown

Unless you're a United fan, you have to sympathise with the way City were robbed at the weekend of that first goal.

How Rashford can be deemed not interfering with play is beyond me or any of the pundits. He practically shields the ball for 20+ yards and feigns a shot, it's outrageous that it was allowed to stand when we have seen plenty of goals ruled out for 'interfering with play' regardless of whether the ball was touched.

There is elite sympathy with legendary clubs such as United and Liverpool when it comes to these types of calls, as we saw with the Wolves disallowed goal which was perfectly legal.

I don't recall United or Liverpool ever being on the wrong end of a contentious decision, it's such a tarnish on the fair play of our sport.

I have to agree. The Salah goal against Wolves and the Bruno goal against Man City make me doubt my knowledge of the game and appear to come from rules which are written by someone who has never seen a game of football in their lives.

The actions of defenders are being influenced by trying to play offside as part of their defence.

Last week the Wolves player heads the ball because he has his back to Salah, he doesn't know he has gone early but as the flag will stay down due to VAR he has to act on what he is taught as a defender and heads the ball. Now Salah who is only there because he went early scores. If the defender leaves it and he is unaware of Salah being onside or offside then gets slated for not going for the ball.

The Rashford offside is a whole new level, as Man City play the offside trap, the ball is played to Rashford and although he didn't touch it he was travelled with the ball and gave defenders and the goalkeeper something to think about, infact the goalkeeper was set on the basis Rashford could shoot due to the flag staying down as it does with VAR.

If Rashford didn't move with the ball and Bruno puts it away fine, but he literally travels with the ball without touching it. Within an hour of that game Trent was given offside for following a ball out of play to take a throwing.

Gary Neville has said as a fan it's great the goal has been given but as a player it's a nonsense.

I see your lot have a relegation 6 pointer on Saturday. You've got to be beating Everton.

I hope they do to be honest. I really like David Moyes and I hope he gets the win which will buy him some time. He's got West Ham to the knockout stages of Europe again and deserves to see it through.

Man Utd - he should stay well clear. Sancho has been a disaster. Liverpool are on the decline too.

Bellingham the natural successor to Gundagon who looks like he is off. Man City definitely the best choice for him in the PL. Guaranteed CL football, guaranteed trophies. His game time there will be managed but he will get plenty of opportunities like Grealish and Foden do.

The trouble is, he's completely lost the plot. The team's form has fallen off a cliff since last January. He's spent £140m on new players, most of whom are not delivering. There's no midfield creativity and goals have dried up (sound familiar?). He keeps picking Soucek, who's been terrible for ages, yet benches Benrahma, his most creative and dangerous player. The tactics that got 7th and 8th place finishes are no longer working and he seems clueless as to an alternative.
I honestly don't see Moyes turning it around. But who is the alternative? The likes of Tuchel and Pochetinno won't go to a bottom three club. Worrying times for Irons fans, of which I'm one. Why do I put myself through this double dose of masochism?

He doesn’t shield the ball from the defenders though, the pass has taken the defenders totally out of the game with the pace it’s hit at. If Akanja had been up with Rashford then you could argue that but the reality is Akanja screwed up by not playing to the whistle if Rashford had stopped his run Akanja still can’t react and Bruno still has the chance unchallenged.

The potential argument is maybe the Keeper but as the likely place of the shot being differs by under a yard I’m not sure it makes much difference with that.

As for saying United don’t get on the wrong side of such issues, you clearly don’t watch enough matches. There are plenty, including a couple over the last two seasons where an offside player has been standing in front of DDG preventing him seeing the ball. Every club has such calls because interference is somewhat subjective and unless we go back to any player being offside means it’s offside it’s always going to be that way

The TAA situation isn’t different though, in both cases the Linesman flagged offside. It’s just that as the TAA situation it’s a throw-in which isn’t a situation VAR can be used on so the ref has to go with the linesman’s decision rather than check with VAR. If VAR could be used on all decisions that may very well have got overturned based on the rules

With Sancho that seems to be largely he is struggling with his mental health which seems to actually stem from first the Euros which caused him both to lose his confidence, form and also his fitness. That’s then caused him to not make the World Cup squad which seems to have totally broken him. He’s been in Holland the last few months working both on his physical fitness away from the pressure in England BUT also working on his mental fitness as well. He is back training with United now and hopefully being away has aided his mental health and he can now start to refund that form.

On the Grealish/Foden thing, both of those not playing regularly has impacted their chances for England and in Grealish especially it’s even hindered his club form. There are some players who can perform when being in and out of teams but there is nothing to suggest Bellingham is such a player. It’s as much a risk going to City as going to United who are in a rebuild or to Liverpool who need a rebuild imho

Where are you getting this not playing regularly nonsense from? Grealish 22 appearences from 31 games and Foden has 27 appearences.

Man City is the club to be. Pep is the best coach out there and you are guaranteed success. Have you been asleep the last decade?
