Yeah, I like who Salford are run. The class of 92 came in and quickly realised that owning a football club club isn't easy and went to seek investment. Now they only own about 5% each or something.
What people don't realise is that they brought the club to invest mainly in the infrastructure. They said they wanted it in the football league and stuck to their word(unlike some owners who make promises and say them on football pitches but are clueless on how to achieve them).
Now, they will lower fans expectations but they have a trip to Wembley in their 1st season the football league so it might prove difficult to do.

It'll be very interesting to see how the premier league react to this. At a glance, their playing expenses look to be even more expensive now than they'd have been for the period they've been punished for. It's all well and good banning them from a competition they've never looked like winning, but what are the immediate consequences in terms of regulating their spend? Because theres no way they'd be able to afford to retain their current squad if they had to stick to 'the rules'.
One of the reasons Liverpool attract the praise they do right now, is because they've gone about things the right way. They're a properly and fairly run club. I dont like all aspects of them, but they've built a brilliant team through skill, planning and endeavour. Man City have been clever about things too, but they've clearly been doped for many, many years. Without their arabs sugar daddies they'd be a nothing club. They may even struggle to stay in the premier league every yearStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
