Loyalty is about spending money that affects the bottom line at BCAFC not at Hartlepool, the benefit of that loyalty is the ability to buy tickets for away matches

My wife is loyal to tesco, the benefit is clubcard points that can be traded in for goodies, Tesco dont reward her for shopping at Asda and Bradford City shouldnt reward you for shopping at Hartlepool FC.

Buying and attending away matches should be the prize, but you should get zero loyalty points for buying away tickets because the club doesn't benefit financially.

You should get more loyalty points for buying a scarf in the shop or a pie at half time, than you should for going to Hartlepool or Barrow

We live in a capitalist society.

I see tickets for Mansfield Town have just dropped. Those with over 990 loyalty points can buy them today, those with over 910 from tomorrow, season ticket holder on Sunday and then General sale on Monday.

So we have gone from stupid slow stagger sale of tickets to general sale in 4 days, nearly 3 weeks before the day game.

I wonder how many of the 990+ loyalty lot will even realise the tickets are on sale today.

I wouldn't worry too much, I think tickets for this one will be easy to get hold of with about 1,800 available, it's not the tinpot allocations of the previous games with this one.

The allocation is probably why the stagger has shortened. The club will know how many customers will be in each band, and have adjusted accordingly.

There's probably not 1800 fans with 900+ who would be likely to attend anyway so the banding will reflect that

Yeah, I have no problem with it at all.

It's the kind of game like Colchester where if you want to go it will be fairly easy to grab tickets so it seems pretty pointless putting them on restricted sale for a long period. This is how I expected it to work as standard, not being sold to season ticket holder 4 days prior to the game like we did with Barrow as it becomes impossible to sort travel etc.

Supporters clubs on this basis are pretty confident they will have a full coach for this game and not be potentially running at a large loss.

City can only put tickets on sale when the host club forward them to Valley Parade.

Short windows before the match is down to the opposition.

The only way you will have some form of standard selling window, is if the EFL creates a rule which stipulates they must be on sale in a standard time frame, say two weeks before the fixture (with a penalty if they aren’t).

Given that the EFL has rules and regulations about everything else, then this would be something for supporters rather than just the League!

Come on Rod, you know as well as I do that everything the loyalty band of brothers (and @Fordy117@Fordy117) don't agree with, is the fault of BCAFC in general, and Ryan Sparks in particular.

Regulation 35.3.2 is what you are looking for:
"35.3.2 Clubs are required to sell tickets for their away matches if required to do so by the Home Club and similarly Home Clubs are required to supply tickets for their Home Matches to the Away Club for sale by the Away Club to its supporters if so requested by the Away Club. These tickets are to be made available on a sale or return basis and must be ordered by the Away Club at least five weeks before the League Match to which they relate. The Home Club must deliver those tickets to the Away Club at the latest four weeks before the League Match to which they relate. Where any match is arranged at shorter notice the above steps shall be taken as soon as is reasonably practicable. Visiting Supporters should also have the same opportunity to take advantage of pre-booking discounts that apply to home supporters."

I understand your points and it makes sense but loyalty shouldn’t be measured on how much you are willing to spend.
I’d hate a situation where all the fans buying 5 pre match pints and a pie have more points than those who dedicate their time AND money.
If it’s all about money then let’s just charge £500 for a loyalty card and have done with it.

Same with me. I missed out on Chelsea, despite going to Halifax, Dartford, Milwall (A), Milwall (H). Having the vouchers which were issued with the tickets. Still pisses me off.

As for other games. Yes it would be interesting to go to Harrogate, but I can cope. I got to Salford….erm with….;)

In reality I will accept the current scheme gives those who buy the most tickets first dibs.

Tough if sometimes you go with family/friends but they are down the pecking order as they have lesser points.

    Sorry but that is life!

Surely everyone can be reassured about getting tickets via the loyalty points system and can have no complaints when they dont.

1700 were originally set aside as our allocation and they have gone on general sale today with 900 remaining.

Only 800 people out of 15000 season ticket holders and Uber point collectors have purchased one.

We will sell out this allocation but not till about a week before the game. The large number of tickets available leads to a more relaxed approach in buying them, where as when only 700 are announced you have to get in quickly.

Of all the games this season only 4 I ever saw as being an issue to get hold of tickets and two of them have been and gone with Barrow and Hartlepool. The other two being Harrogate and Salford. The rest have sufficient capacity or are of a distance where it doesn't become an issue.

That is of course unless we beat Blackburn and draw a Premier League side in the cup, when suddenly more people will want tickets than were in the home end against Hull and Blackburn. I will enjoy hearing why some are so deserving of tickets if we draw Spurs away for example and how suddenly our entire fan base can travel to London on a Tuesday but can't get to Valley Parade this week.

    In that case the tickets should be on sale first to those fans who attended the games;
First allocation to those doing both games, second allocation to those attending only one of the first two rounds
Then open it up to the ubers and ST holders.

Top game tickets used to be based on ticket stubs from previous cup games not a silly points system.

I have low points so will just go in the home end for games restricted with away tickets

I've bought three tickets for tonight on my account. Bosh, I'm gonna be in the points. Need all I can get for Northampton Away when we clinch the title on my sister's patch.

Lol you could buy 33 tickets mate and still only get 20 points.
Looks like that Northampton game is slightly out of your reach.

I have never seen the appeal of going in the home end. The enjoyment factor must be nil.
If we score you can’t celebrate and if they score you sit still and look a right Twit.
