Hopkin has just arrived. He’s inherited a shit show and if he’s given control and backing I think he could do a good job. But Rahic is the one who architected that shit show. He’s the one who presided over such a mess that even if Hopkin is given the tools required, we could be so far set back this season that it may not stop us going down.

It took 10 years to arrest our decline through 4 divisions. 10 years of shite, misery, crap players and performances, dawns of false hope and very nearly dropping out of the football league, until we finally had a club we could start to be proud of and enjoy following again. Because of nothing more than vanity, Rahic has destroyed all that. Destroyed the spirit of the club, it’s connections with supporters, removed the majority of anything we might consider quality and disposed of any employees who might dare to challenge his vision. He’s left a steaming pile of horse shit that Hopkin now has to try and sort.

A couple of ambiguous apologies don’t placate me and I’m pretty sure that haven’t placated most supporters.

Hopkin should be given time and patience. The players, so long as they’re putting the effort in, should be backed. But Edin Rahic can f*ck off. And I hope he does.

You were all told this last year and the majority ridiculed the idea to the point you even made up a nickname for the merry band of enlightened posters.

At least now even the most stubborn of fans are coming round though I suppose and maybe they won't be so quick to dismiss things in future.

Oh and while we're at it, James Hanson still hasn't scored in nearly a full league campaigns worth of appearances so that's another one we got right.

Not at game so don't know how we played but as others have said we need to stop leaking goals and prepare for January under Hopkin. Out must go Rahic and Abbott.

 

It's the same thing but we should be blaming the recruitment.

We need an established DoF, we need an established scouting system - not this shambles we're handed by Abbo and Rahic.

David Hopkin has the ability to get us firing with a squad of his own design, the squad he's been handed is pathetic.

 

We are royally fecked! Make no mistake. A new manager usually brings a temporary upturn in form but not even that’s happening. Edin is a first class clown and quickly becoming the worst appointment in this clubs history.

It's about time Hopkin got rid of Abbo and the Avenue failure who is assisting him. Time to bring his own team in

 

Although no game is ever won on paper, October’s fixtures have been kind. November’s look much tougher. It’s a tough ask for Hopkin but I think he can do enough to save us but he will need to see it in October. I still can’t get to grips with how much of a bad job Rahic has done. It is actually incredible. He should continually hang his head in shame and leave all future transfer targets and all things football to professionals. I trust Hopkin to make the right decision regards Abbo’s involvement.

 

I disagree that there is no difference. Yes the results haven’t changed, but the performances are a million times better than when Collins was here. The results will follow eventually.

We will play worse than we did today and win.

 

Poor blueprint for recruitment is at the heart of our problem, whether due to the imposition of an unrealistic financial ceiling or not. As we are all painfully aware..this has been a recurring problem. I feel that the time is ripe for Hopkin to bring in his own trusted backroom staff to help us move on.

 

We are seriously playing catch up. In terms of fitness and tactical plans. Fitness we surely can’t be far away now where Hopkin wants us to be but we must get smart defensively and fast.

We are looking like we won’t score many so I hope we are working hard on set pieces and making something from them? Or have we no time because they are being run to death at the minute in training?

We have players to come back but we should still be tight and hard to beat and then kick on when they get back but we are not and cannot stop conceding soft goals.

We need to get a win against Bristol. Home form is a must to stop this run.

When did we last take the lead in a game? Burton at home?

It’s a mess at the minute. Losing is becoming a habit. Get rid of Abbott and the other nothing coach and get his own men in who he can bounce ideas off

It depends what you are judging it against. The performances under Collins were abysmal, the effort has intensified under Hopkins but we have been the second best team in all three games under him so far. Not his fault, its the shit show he has been left with under the clueless ownership of Edin Rahic. This ship isn’t for turning round for a long while yet.

 

I'd really like questions to be asked about Abbott, yea I know edin has a big say in the signings but ultimately Abbott is suggesting these players which clearly aren't good enough. I do think hopkin would have got us to mid table or upwards if he had a say in the transfers in pre season instead of yes man Collins, but I'm afraid by the time he can bring his own players in we will either be adrift at the bottom or edin could be a complete idiot and sack him as well. Doesn't look good
