That's really embarrassing. Not a fan of the sulky armband shirker but we need to get over it. Booing your own player at a pre season friendly game for charity I mean come on, let's have a clean slate. We're one injury away from him being first choice and think we need to cast off last seasons bitterness, at least in such vocal ways as this. It won't do him or the team any good

packed out.So much for pay on the gate.

Was it you booing?! Wouldn't be bothered if he did go but he's still around and can't see the value in getting on his back before we've kicked a ball this season.

He got dogs abuse last season and didn't f off so why would he now.

I wouldnt boo him but he gets absolutely 0 patience and has to perform straight away or its justified. The time for patience with him went about 8 months ago.

We had no chance of getting in for replay. There was an injury
during the game which took a while but I think ref was waiting
till Burnley equalised as it was about 8 minutes injury time.

Attacking the old kop it was like the Alamo but we hung on till
inevitably they scored.Crazy thing was,we kicked off, went straight
down Bradford end and got a corner.Tom Flockett headed it right
In top corner but their keeper finger tipped it away.

I was just a kid but felt we were robbed.

Having watched 40 plus games last season I can say that however bad he was, he was no worse than the rest of them that got us relegated.
Why didn’t O Donnell, Akpan and Doyle get booed because they were all dog shit last season.

As I said I wouldn't boo him or any of them, but none of them deserve patience as they used up all their credit and then some with me last season. If you have a look on other threads etc you'll see I'm no less scathing about any of them but when they play well I'll happily say it also. I'd say you're a little bit harsh on O'Donnell, whilst his form did tail off towards the end, he's got 10 players in front of him who should be stopping the ball before he even has anything to do.

Try saying that to the likes of Stuart McCall or Jamie Lawrence. As a kid growing up, I was a Liverpool fan. As soon as I could afford to pay for my own tickets, I went along to watch City and have been going for the last 33yrs, most of which have been as a season ticket holder.

There are many in this category, as demonstrated by the make up fans attending the friendly game.

Disagree and I’m offended by your accusation. I may be a Liverpool fan, but I’m a City supporter first and foremost....!

Aren’t they different though? They were Liverpool fans first and City fans second. That’s not the same as someone who used to listen to Liverpool on the radio, look out for their results on Grandstand and stay up to watch MoTD on TV, but now doesn’t give them a second thought because they are only interested in City and the league they are in

    My opinion will never change.

Growing up in Bradford in the 80's and early 90's as one of a very few number of City fans at school supporting my hometown team (and being mocked for it) while everyone else wanted the glory of being Liverpool or Man United fans made an impact.

Maybe so. Everyone's different. Obviously, only you know where your allegiances truly lie.

And that’s fair enough. I’m not originally from Bradford and didn’t move here until I was around 20.

My parents never took me to a game of football, though my dad was a Leeds fan himself and wanted to take my brother and I to Elland Rd. We never went. As such, my football enjoyment was restricted to listening to games and MoTD.

However, my brother and I went for the first time in 1985 as promotion-fever gripped us. We went to watch our first live game and we’re hooked. The events a few months later only increased our love (and hurt and pain) for the club. I’ve been going regularly ever since and my brother has been a supporter for most of those seasons too.

So I do dispute the fact that you cannot ‘be converted’. I’ve just told you about 2 that proves this wrong. And as I mentioned right at the start, my brother-in-law classed himself as a Man U fan. His family never settled in an area for long and he was often dragged around the country. They eventually settled in Keighley (or all places). He still classed himself as a Red Devil.

However, when I couldn’t attend the now infamous game against Liverpool to stay up, he took my ticket. He’s been a ST holder since. He even had an opportunity a few years back of going to a game at Old Trafford (under Fergie) or come with me to watch City away. He chose the City game because he now classes himself as ‘converted’.

So I’m politely telling you, you are wrong
