If you can keep him fit it's a no brainer. Injury free he starts every game.

 

4th choice? We aren't getting 3 better strikers in than Angol, not a chance.

 

There is no doubting his ability at this level, let's pray his injury woes are behind him.

Im ok with this. As long as we get 3 others in up front who are at least capable.

 

If we manage him right then he will be an asset, Adams flogged the squad to death during training no wonder his hamstring went and he wasn't the only one with hamstring injuries.

 

Hopefully they'll be heavily incentivised.

 

The FGR forwards are the best in the league.

Their stats are phenomenal.

23 for Stevens, 19 for Matt.

Those are the kinds of numbers we need to be targeting next season, no matter what the permutations are in terms of who actually gets the goals.

Bang bloody right. And those advocating Cook/Angol for example, are setting the bar so low, that failure is likely the outcome.

 

I like the fact that we had a bit of needle about us today. It was a dead rubber game, but there was no sense of us going through the motions. You just sense there's and air about Hughes as a leader, thats about maintaining standards, all the time.

No doubt the players were reminded of the snide attitude of their lot in the reverse fixture, and then with the way in which the minutes silence was disgracefully disrespected, I just had a sense of the players not accepting it, and putting a bit of a marker down. Weve been a soft touch for far too long and I sense a bit of authority and edge coming into our game.

 

Depends who we bring in. Angol and Cook will not get you promoted. Has to be better incoming.

 

Potentially keeping Pereira, too, who is a mercurial talent.

We do need to grab a few goals from midfield, too, because out of Watt, Cooke, Evans, Gilliead and Sutton, we have a combined 9 league goals.

That's 2 a piece aside from Evans who only got 1.

The fact Songo'o has out-scored all those midfielders is embarrassing.

 

Cook can't hold it up, he doesn't have the skillset. Takes him too many touches to get the ball under control. I wouldn't say he gets bullied but he's not really a James Hanson type target man.

 

Not necessarily better than him but at least 3 who are able to play every week and compete at this level... no matter Angol's ability, if he only plays 10-15 games next season let's bloody hope he's our 4th best striker (unlike this season)

 

I hate this recent trend on TV and social media where the interviewer feels the need to say a lot of stuff before the question or ask overly long questions. We're not listening to this to hear you matey! We want to hear from the chap being interviewed! Short questions, let him talk!

 

We need a core of players that should we get promoted can hold their own at the level above, as we saw last time we got promoted you can’t simply bring in 11 new players upon promotion. Players of that ability would be a big plus to making sure we could keep the core together ala Luton.

 

Gillead shouldn't be part of ANY football league squad. I can't even tell you what position is his most effective. Technically he's not a bad footballer but for some reason, out on the pitch he just offers very little in terms of important contributions and seemingly just drifts through the games.

 

If you're advocating for Kai to come back, just say so m8.

Although he's won a promotion now. He may be too good for us....
