If you can keep him fit it's a no brainer. Injury free he starts every game.

He is worth the risk imo and I dont imagine his wages will be breaking the bank. Positive news.

    Hopefully they'll be heavily incentivised.

There is no doubting his ability at this level, let's pray his injury woes are behind him.

Well done on earning a new contract

Im ok with this. As long as we get 3 others in up front who are at least capable.

    Revised deal so probably incentivised.

Seems like a decent bit of business.

Yeah, he needs to be our 4th choice striker... it was insane going into this season so heavily relying on a clear crock. Let's see if we've learned our lesson!

Im pleased and it does appear that the revised way we are “ looking after” players is reaping the rewards.

If we can follow it with a 2 year deal for Vernam ..I’d be one happy bunny.

The fact we haven’t announced such is an omen ? His agent is playing the field perhaps?

If we manage him right then he will be an asset, Adams flogged the squad to death during training no wonder his hamstring went and he wasn't the only one with hamstring injuries.

4th choice? We aren't getting 3 better strikers in than Angol, not a chance.

There is a bit more to this deal as it could end up being TWO years.

Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce Lee Angol has put pen to paper on a new, initial one-year contract extension.

The deal sees the forward remain at the Utilita Energy Stadium for the 2022/23 campaign, with the option of a further season in claret and amber.

Agree that this is a good signing if Lee can remain fit. Cook is contracted for next season.
Delfounseo and Elliot’s loans are up and haven’t shown enough. Lavery and Robinson likewise are at the end of their contracts. Two decent strikers to compliment Cook and Angol is what is required.

Not necessarily better than him but at least 3 who are able to play every week and compete at this level... no matter Angol's ability, if he only plays 10-15 games next season let's bloody hope he's our 4th best striker (unlike this season)

Well apart from anything we better not be paying Angol first choice striker money given his horrific injury record, should leave money in the budget for at least 2 first choice level forwards.
