League One Away Ticket Allocations

Interesting one to note as we have to visit there later this season.

Wigan rugby league have offered the away team on Friday evening either 4600 unreserved seats or 5400 reserved seats, same end used for both allocations.

I never thought that offering unreserved allocation would possibly lead to smaller amounts of tickets being sold and if this is a regular occurrence.

It kind of makes sense and will prevent overcrowding if people turn up last minute and start looking for seats together but 800 seems a lot to chop off

 

It sounds about right tbh. If people sit anywhere you soon have the odd seat here and there popping up unoccupied and then you have a group of 3 or 4 who can't get a seat together and then they start filling the gangways in the stands. It happened as recently as last week at Newcastle when everyone between the balcony and the upper section were just stood around watching the game.

Off topic, but it appears Leigh have threatened not to fulfil the fixture, due to unfair ticket allocation?

 

This never made sense at the time - we have to charge more to police the bigger numbers. The extra sales at £25 a pop in the first place should cover the extra cost and more, without the need for a premium on top!

 

In our case opposition clubs don't need to "try" to justify it sadly we give them justification at times, both resent Doncaster games come to mind.

 

Anyone know how many Stevenage tickets we've sold/got left?

 

In the article on Citys site it said we had 1300 and something as the allocation.

 

Should be 700 at least.
40% usually allocated to points holders whatever the number of points needed is.

 

Oh, is that right? So there's usually over half left still when it comes on sale to season tickets?

Had to wait but got em as soon as possible.

 

Nice one. My cousin got tickets so I'm flying ftom Cracow into Luton for the day trip and will meet him in Stevenage. £70 return for the flights. Possibly cheaper than the train from L**ds.

 

Back to Krakow in February, hopefully one of the cities football teams at home while I'm there.

 

Not sure if the winter break will be over but it's certainly an experience if you can get a game in.

Been speaking to a mate of mine who supports Bolton he says we will likely get just over 4k and is likely to be priced at £30 for adults.
