Was that the 6-3 defeat when Ces Podd got a very rare goal, or did I dream that?

A quick check has identified 4 clubs, in League One, that have safe standing sections for away supporters:
    • Barnsley
    • Cardiff City
    • Luton Town
    • Rotherham United
Edit: Make that 5 clubs with Stockport County as well.

Opening post updated for Stockport County, increasing likely away allocation from 1,088 to 1,193.

This is based on the allocation received by Bolton Wanderers.

The August Planning and Highways Committee, referred to in the article, is scheduled to meet on Thursday 14 August, just 5 days before we play there. I can't see them getting the work done (including any safety checks) in time for our match, and, even if they could, they wouldn't sell tickets for that end until its all signed off, so I suspect this will come into force after we've played there.

Also, being a Tuesday night match, there won't be as much pressure to get the work done in time for our match.

    CORRECTION @HUDDERSSBANTAM@HUDDERSSBANTAM

I've just looked at Stockport County's ticket site, for the Bolton Wanderers match and it looks like they may have been given the Railway end, as all three other sides seem to be on sale for home fans.

And I've just checked Stockport County's ticket site for our match and it looks like we are in the Railway end, so no roof, unless they are quick. Or maybe they are going to go ahead in advance and hope the planning application goes through OK.

Do you have to match like for like with safe standing allocations for away fans?

I know one of the reasons city didn't go head with it was due to cost involved and also having to put some in the away end however i see from our Blackburn allocation we only have 247 safe standing seats

The current rules now state that new safe standing must cover both home and away areas, but it doesn't seem that the numbers have to match.

They apparently have 406 in the home section. So 247(250 suggested in their own article) seems a very fair distribution. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/march/19/rovers-to-move-forward-with-safe-standing-plans/

Exeter City away - Blackpool and Mansfield Town have both received an allocation of just 572 tickets. Neither of the visiting clubs has referred to this as an "initial" allocation, so it remains to be seen if they will receive any more tickets (if the demand is there).

Huddersfield and Plymouth are due to go there in September/October, so that may give a better indication of the full away allocation.

Mansfield's game against Exeter is a 12:30 kick off so that is probably all they've asked for and I'd guess it's the same for Blackpool that they don't think they will take more than 600. Unless they've got some stadium developments going on the EFL wouldn't allow them to get away with giving away teams over 200 less than the minimum.

If anyone is looking to do Cardiff on the train then I would advise buying soon.
Again we've bought early and I got an adult and child day return for £135 with a railcard.
A single adult day return ATM is £128 but I've not tried splitting it and not applied a Railcard.

Just seen that Mansfield are charging away fans £30 this season. From what I can see online Mansfield and Leyton Orient are the 2 that are charging £30.
