Bolton's was. But like a lot of clubs have reduced it to the minimum - it's either the top or lower tier you get now, not both. Bolton have done that as, like with us at Donny, they've had a fair few clubs mess them around with allocations. At least it's still a reasonable number though.

A club that is struggling to sell 10k season tickets is turning away a hell of a lot in away sales seems very strange .............must be down to police costs or something

The splitting of the away end happened when they made the premier league, and because of that they could sell tickets to their own fans to fill that part. However as they are no in decline you are right, they are struggling to sell tickets. I however doubt they will hand over 4k in that end to us when our ground means they could only get 2.5k off us.

They to my knowledge have sold a fair number of season tickets in their side of that stand, they aren't going to accomodate us and move their fans even if half their ground is empty.

I think that has become their 'singing' area. There'd be mayhem if they kicked them out.

To be honest as a fan in their teens I would have been right there on the divide between home and away support. Last time we went to their place most of their singers were down the left had side in the corner of the two tiered stand.

WE (Carlisle) had 4,500 at Bolton a couple of years ago, we got the whole of one end (both upper and lower tiers), so to cut it to less than 2,500 when they're still in the same division seems a bit strange???
Maybe they didn't like it when we beat them 3-1 ha,

Bolton's attendances have increased a lot in the last few years, in the last few years they've gone from 15,500 to over 21,000 this season just gone.

Park I once went into corporate at Plymouth at the back behind all their nutters. I think we won 5 .1. I cheered every goal. Not good. Dean Richards played like Bobby Moore. It was one of Lennie Lawrence good games. Be quiet mate they are nutters.

Our match at Stockport County on Tuesday 19 August 2025 has been designated a Category B fixture by Stockport (probably down to it being a midweek fixture).

Stockport will be putting home tickets on sale on Wednesday 16 July, so expect City to put their allocation on sale soon.

According to Stockport's website these are their prices:

I remember losing 5-2 there, when Duncan Shearer scored 4 and they chucked bricks at the buses to Bradford going home.

Perhaps before my time Kev. The only away games I remember growing up were the 2-1 win where Robbie Blake scored our winner and the 3-3 draw where Nico Vaesen put in the greatest goalkeeping performance I've ever seen against City.
