@Prediction league 20/21

 

Ok been a bit lax with these updates. there were a few where there wasn't any significant score or place changes so I didn't post then just got behind in all the double-checking with how quickly the games came. Started working on some improvements to the system to speed up checking all the scores but then got snowed under with paid work so wasn't able to complete the improvements at the speed I wanted.

Anyway those improvements were completed today and have sped through checking the games in record time. So here is the table up to Match 23 (plus 2 Half Point Scoring FA Cup rounds). Should be fully up to date by Next Saturdays match

The totals are all correct. For some reason some of the round figures seem to be pulling from the wrong row or column. Getting 6 points when FA Cup matches are half points would have required a perfect prediction (and it would have then been 7.5 as they would have got a bonus point). I'll work out what’s gone wrong and update it later

As for the goal time. That was the tie break answer. So if let’s say 3 of you you had predicted a 7 nil city win and each predicted 3 of the goal scorers correctly the winner would have been whoever predicted closest to 7 mins would have won

 

Next Update will be tomorrow taking us up to Game 36. And then will have up to Game 40 on Tuesday, then game 41 on Wed and Game 42 on Thursday (unless there is a disputed goal in Tuesdays game in which case it will be after that gets sorted)

These changes to help me update the leaderboard quicker will certainly help for the next season. It's taken it from about an hour per game to check everything and then create the post to under 10 mins

 

It's on my todo list, I had hoped to get it done last week but then things got busy

Damn forgot to switch it into away mode. I'm going to try and add some code to the script to automate that switch between home and away and then rerun Saturdays calc so will post an updated one when I've done that

The Script now automatically accounts for home or away so it shouldn't have these issues from now on
