Has anyone noticed the vast majority of last seasons players are currently bettering themselves than Bradford City? Or at least doing prospering at their current clubs?

Doyle and Wright are banging in goals for Swindon & Orient, Payne is doing well at Lincoln in L1, O'Brien and Butterfield are regulars in the Championship. Not sure if Woods is playing but he ended up at Tranmere as did Wilson at Coventry. Ball got a move to the A-League as did McGowan.

Only Chickson and Clarke without clubs and NKP ended up at Carlisle.

But they didn’t at our club. I don’t know why some obsess over how players get in at their new clubs, if a players crap for us good riddance.

Tbf Butterfield, O’Brien and Payne were far better than the rest so it’s no surprise they’re playing higher than league 2 id have happily kept all 3 if it were possible. As for the ones who ended in league 2 I’m confident we’ll end above them all, and we rightly got shut.

There is no obsession but the fact is that team was better than bottom last season.

Collectively a joke. But as individuals a lot were far better than what we currently have.

Wish I could agree with your top bit. We ended where we deserved to, and the players from last season should be ashamed. As for better than last season which players specifically are better than what we have now? If you just say Butterfield, O’Brien and Payne fair enough but 3 players don’t make a team. The rest were and are crap. All we are missing imo is a midfield enforcer and a back up striker, once Divett and Cooke get match fit which may take a few weeks yet they’ll make a big difference. If we’d won yesterday this sort of thread doesn’t happen, talk about over reaction on one result.

They were league one players so you'd hope they'd be better than the league two players we currently have.

Akpan may have ability but he just doesn't show it and that is one aspect of
this season that reflects last season.

If GB plays him I hope it's a shop window scenario as he isn't earning a start
in the side.GB may think he knows better than the fans and he probably does
but fans know when someone plays well and when they don't and show no effort!

You have to have a clean sweep after last seasons debacle and maybe we still need
further release of any players who were part of that?

I've already pointed out that a large number are playing in higher leagues and others performing better at their new clubs.

Your opinion doesn't disguise facts fella.

If it is shop window it’s crazy, we can’t afford to lose matches by playing, he isn’t just poor, he is completely ineffectual. I think he needs to go and if he can’t find another club, we might have to buy him off, so we can bring in another player. If he doesn’t go, is he actually saying we have to play him?

What we lacked last season was proper leadership and know-how, the mess at the top affected all aspects of the club. We were pure poison. That's how we ended up so disjointed on the pitch.

But it doesn’t matter, they didn’t do it for us, and no amount of trying to get the best out of them worked and they failed miserably with three separate managers, that is the reality. We will continue to feel the effects of the Rahic ‘dream’ until they have all gone and we are back in the 1st division.

You say last season's players but actually, quite a few are still this season's players. 7 in the starting line up on Saturday were here last season and in all our previous 4 league games, 6 of the starters were part of last season's crop of crap. I would say quite a few of those are also bettering themselves so far this season, with the likes of O'Donnell, AOC, Wood, Gibson and Devine all showing improvement on what they offered last year.

Since when is 3 a large number? That being those you identified as playing in higher leagues.

Not sure I agree that Devine or Gibson are bettering themselves or have shown vast improvement, they're being given more time for sure but how justified that is, is a grey area. Still dont think their good enough to get us out of this league sadly

Gibson has shown some promise but DD has sadly not shown any improvement from the SM years.

All 3 loanees as well not even our players, and the rest are either below us in this division or out of work. Excluding David Ball who plays in New Zealand, bet we could beat that national team.

When you assemble a squad as poorly as Edin and Abbott did, you're condemning players to failure.

We didn't have a single, sensible formation to play - of course we were baba.

Not everybody will perform as badly ever again, such was the damage done by our dreadful recruitment and dreadful chairmanship.

Can't disagree with what you say but being early season and window not far
away from closing his wage may be a bigger concern than we think.I was
astounded to see him starting Saturday.I wonder what he does in training?

Akpan should have been shipped out this summer along with Wright . Waste of a shirt. One good game in 50 is embarrassing. Remember Wright only left for Orient because someone had good memories of him there . Gibson is too raw . Anderson shouldn't have been signed, he's never going to be a game changer. Im a Devine fan but if thats all we have for a midfiled then were set for failure. Budget be damned, does Bowyer favour bypassing midfield?
