    Morning Bigrod I have a slight confession to make. Travelling home by train on Saturday from the Soul Brew event in Halifax we popped into the City Vaults my mate BC wanted a Tetleys I finished the day of with a bottle of Desperado :cool:

    Given the news that City is now going to supply Lager and perhaps Beer from the International Giants Moolson-Coors, those who like Carling, will be able to get it on tap at VP.
    The range could include ‘Blue Moon, Cobra, Coors Light, Rekorderlig and Staropramen’. To be honest none of them appeal to me.
    I have managed to watch City since the last century, without a drink and the new range doesn’t appeal whatsoever.
    I will let someone else have my place in the queue!
    So the pre match couple of pints will remain.
    A shame as they could have supplied lager to those who like it and traditional draught beer, probably ‘bright’ but nevertheless with a taste which appeals.

    Can't stand the stuff. Tastes like mouthwash, even if you try a glass on a warm sunny day in Verona. It got its second chance there, it won't get a third.

    Unlike some who post on here:unsure: I restrict my pre match intake to two pints, rarely do I have a third!

    However I know others, who start a pre match crawl, ending up at the NBH for about 1.30, to complete something approaching a pin of beer! :eyes:

    We are so far behind the times with our beer range. Tottenham Hotspur already have their own microbrewery and Tranmere Rovers are planning to follow suit, to add to their existing range of real and craft beers.

    On my last visits to Coventry City and Oxford United real ales were available even in the away end and many other clubs have expanded their offerings way beyond a basic lager and cider.

    Like you, I've been going to Valley Parade for many years without drinking at the ground and I will continue to have my pre-match drinks in some of the excellent venues in the City.

    I wonder, will there be a range of non alcoholic beers for us non drinkers? Maybe those whom drive to the game?

    It may seem a strange request to some but as a consumer, I'd like the option available.

    Now that is truly disappointing news. Molson and Coors, individually and together, are exactly the type of industrial brewers that I was grumbling about earlier. Bland, adjunct-laden, alcoholic pap. Molson used to be good, but that all ended through the 70s and 80s, when the marketing mentality won out.

    This was chance to support local (craft) breweries, and get some quality ales & lagers into VP. Pity it's been wasted.

    I don't drink at football except on the odd occasion I meet a friend at the pub - but I go with my family (three generations) so don't drink in the stadium in any event.

    However Blue Moon and Staropramen are both beers I'd enjoy.

    A slight disagreement with @Ulysses S Grant@Ulysses S Grant in respect of Worthington, which is a Moolson-Coors brand (different from brewery:unsure:).

    This is one of my favourite bottle beers. However the chances of it being in the Valley Parade selection, is about as remote as City getting into the Champions League.

    Coors light is decent and Both Worthington White Shield and Starpromen are ok, Coors also distribute lots of craft beers from round the country such as Doom Bar so there may be guest ales if demand there
