i think it's shite, I carry cash frequently and hate smart phones so don't have anything that has apple pay or whatever. I also think what I choose to spend money on is my business and nothing to do with a bank, but if we go cashless they will track every penny I spend and where it's spent. I've been largely supportive of everything Sparks has done at the club but this is his first misstep for me.

 

I agree with the cash mate, they want to track everyone's money and business, only way it can be done, is doing away with cash completely, I like my cash too much for that scenario, cheers

Waiting staff who are all on Nat min wage, it’s our village pub,( The community OWNS and runs it after saving it from going derelict after closure.)

I lovely little pub, great food great staff, and real ale. It needs our support. Oh and they do Saltaire brewery stuff now and again

Sorry to tell you but analytics are everywhere. Paying cash can’t keep you fully anonymous but I have to ask what are you trying to hide. Why does it matter if the bank know you spent money at Bradford City?
Probably keeps your money safer in some respects because they can catch suspicious transactions quicker if they know your trends.

You are just as likely to have money taken out through fraud at an ATM or cash taken out of your pocket in crowds than you are by card fraud. I had 100 euros nicked in Paris. Never felt a thing.

At least if you don't use cash you can make a claim from the bank. Banks won't refund cash you have nicked.

 

Not paid either in since Barclays shut in Cross Hills two years ago. Everything taken by BACs now and all the better for it.

 

Obviously not seen the queues at Cross Hills post office !! No, much easier to get card payments these days. Cash (and cheques - I don't even know where my cheque book is) are a dying breed.

I load my cash onto a pre pay debit card when I go out, to keep it separate from the current account. When its gone it's gone and no risk of getting silly at the end of the night. Even the New Beehive accepts cards now, which probably explains why he has no cash to pay a cleaner. Not sure about the Kashmir though.

 

Just like your IP provider is tracking every site you visit and then selling that information to companies to send adverts to your browser ( browse washing machines and you will be then have adverts from suppliers in your browser )
The banks do the same with your card activity selling the analytics to commercial customers

 

Got served in record time at half time yesterday - great for once.

it's funny that people think the kiosk will be open. Let alone being served.

Makes sense, Cheaper to insure and takes pilfering of cash out of the question especially with so many temporary staff
