They should have been in the Super League years ago, after winning the division below. But Caisley blocked their entry.

NW Crusaders didn't look the best part of 40 points worse so the game was semi competitive regardless of the score.
Will be nice to see some big crowds next season with the larger number of local games and the increase in support from both home and away supporters. -
New plans introduced for Rugby League. I've not fully looked into it but it seems there'll be category A, B & C teams.
Category A will be guaranteed a Super League spot no matter how they perform, I imagine these teams will definitely be Saints, Wigan, Catalans & Leeds. Possibly Huddersfield, Hull & Warrington too I imagine.
Category B teams will be looked at yearly and given some sort of points based on many factors. Some of these teams will be put into Super League, and the others in the Championship.
Category C I guess are the tinpot crap.
No promotion/relegation between Super League & Championship, but there will still be between Championship & League 1.
So it sounds like the Cougars have been shafted again. They've released a statement earlier today expressing their frustration, and I don't blame them. It's a bit of a joke. -

Well the Bulls have cemented their side as not even being the best side with a BD postcode.
34 - 6 to the Cougars today and the Bulls were lucky to get 6. -
Hopefully they'll kick on and challenge for promotion to super league next season.
Like you say, they could be flying the flag for the Bradford area the way Bulls are going.Wolfysmith likes this. -
I sincerely hope that the SL and the RFL see the potential there is in a succesful Cougars. More so than some club in Canada or Cornwall.
They've a tremendous set of loyal fans and a decent catchment area to tap into.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Storck likes this. -

Went for the second time on Sunday...
good turnout at 2.7k.
The crusaders started well, but once Keighley got going there was only one team in it.
Cougar's final try was worthy of the NRL... the perfectly timed kick and bursting run through the defence was a thing of beauty.Rocket likes this. -
fantastic sport ruined by the PC police
No shoulder charges , swinging arms , high tackles , fighting , changing rules every season , playing each other 5 times a season , golden point

Cougars are asking for 2 up 2 down in all leagues to allow for something to aim for rather than a closed shop or the same yoyo team (Leigh) going up and down.
That's their stance. The Bradford Bulls who know they have no chance of getting promoted through merit live in the dream world of potentially being handed a super league spot on past glories and a pie in the sky stadium dream.
The Cougars aren't being screwed again, they are nowhere near Super League like they were in 94/95. They are a club on the up however and like everyone should oppose a closed shop league.Rocket likes this. -

Been some massive up and downs for Keighley over the years . It was great to see Mick O'Neil back in 2019 the club now are really moving on up.
Do any of the old skool remember Mick back in the days a DJ at the Heartbeat Bradford.
In 2021 Mick was awarded the MBE for services to Rugby League and the Community in Keighley. Oh Yes our rivals are The Cattle. -
My memory is bad but i thought the rfl blocked Keighleys promotion by switching to franchise model rather than promotion and relaxation
