Seriously he’s 35 and that was only his 5th goal this season?

If he’s the sort of forward you mean in the sense of his play I’d say yes, maybe 7 years ago

He's exactly the sort of finished washed up shite like James Hanson we don't need.

Yeah fair enough. Didn’t realise he was 35. Revell of a feeble years ago is what I was thinking.

That said, I’m not convinced he wouldn’t added something anyway given how lacking we are in that department.

Didn't t like the way Revell totally blanked Gibson when lapping up the applause - no class at all.

Yeah we could do with revel and Gibson back

    I like Gibson
Yes he’s league 2 quality and probably has a bad attitude from what I’ve heard

But I thought he was skillfull and tricky

He looked a bit needy to me. He is a new player, and should have waited for the congrats, if non forthcoming take it on the chin.

Hanson was enjoying a few pints in the ambassador club last night, I’m reliably informed.

If Gibson has assisted for Stevenage that must be one more key contribution that he managed in his time on the pitch for us in League One?!

Not been on great form this season. One of them that 'league one clubs are in for' but nothing happens.

Talented lad is Gibson, just never took his chance in league games for us.

Reckon if he scores a few and plays well for the next 6 months he has a chance of a future here. Badly needs first team footy.

Gibson's a funny one, he's shown flashes, but to be honest I think in even more limited game time Colville has shown more.

Neither are ready to be relied on in the first team week in, week out, but you get the impression Colville at 19 has some level of patience, whereas I never got that impression with Gibson, 20.

Either way, Jordan Gibson doesn't seem to have enamoured himself with either Stuart or Hopkin, and I don't think even if he plays well he'll have a future here. Could be wrong, of course.

I agree; I haven’t seen anything from him really. He might be a late starter but on the evidence I have seen I think he isn’t a starter that is for sure. Don’t think Grayson was enamoured either. Young Coleville though he does look sharp and patient no tantrums from him about not playing. I am sure he wants to, but probably knows he is not quite cooked yet.

Yep, one, can’t remember which match last year, he tweeted when the team sheet was released ‘what do you have to do to get on the bench’ then deleted it almost immediately. Then his father chimed in, which most certainly did not help his cause.

Hardly a tantrum, just frustration at the lack of game time. I've question Gibson on Twitter and to be fair his dad has always given a balanced view about him needing to have his time and be patient.

I think they both are in a similar position in that Colville will not start a game, as Gibson hasn't. Colville, in the brief appearances he's had looks ok but he seems to pick up injuries. Gibson going will be more beneficial for him than sitting at home on a Saturday aftertoon that's for sure.

Will have to disagree. I think his father needs to keep his encouragement for his son private and not on twitter.

I am glad he has gone to Stevenage and I hope he can realise his early promise. I have watched his assist, it was a good cross, however I think his behaviour after was embarrassing, the striker for some reason didn’t want to acknowledge his cross, but he carried on trying to hug him and share the celebration. He is new there and will probably need to be patient before he is acknowledged as a fully fledged team member.

Agree abut Coleville, lots of development needed, and I hope he gets lots encouragement whether he is playing or not.

BTW, both McCall and Grayson hinted that he didn’t give enough in training to warrant selection, because if he had, he would have been on the bench or even starting. Hopkin also feels he is not ready for 1st team selection, we will have to wait and see how he does with Stevenage.

    Interesting thread. Interesting replies.

When a man is speaking out saying he is "done with everything" and is then mocked and called an attention seaker it's no wonder you get shocking mental health statistics.

Suicide is the most common cause of death for men between the ages of 20-49. It doesn't matter if you believe he has a better life than you and that you had x amount of kids and x amount of jobs on x amount wage at his age. Why are people so keen to jump on the bandwagon of "I had it worse so he should be alright" or "he's a footballer, he's living the dream" rather than trying to help? Anyone can suffer from mental health problems, including this lad.

Get your head out your arses.
