Legend is a word bandied around too easily, but Jon is a true City legend just for that cup run and the part he played at Chelsea in what was the most perfect performance I have ever seen from a front man in any league.
To say he was unplayable and played the game of his life that day is an understatement. He was absolutely immense, and in these miserable times always cheers me up to watch it again.
Given the season we have had, he deserves a discussion in the main thread as a legend of some of the best years we've enjoyed rather than sidelining to the "where are the now" thread that has the same three visitors a day.

Will always be fondly remembered for his performances in the FA cup run, particularly his Chelsea goal and the assist for Yeates. Incredible.

It's still amazing to think that Chelski won the PL that season and were playing in the latter stages of the Champions League, but that we were the only side to beat them at Stamford Bridge all season. And every one of their players - starting and off the bench - was a full international. -
