Looked as though he could be a mainstay of the team when he first came in. A breath of fresh air compared to the likes of Josh Wright. The badly timed injury allowed others to get ahead of him.

Will probably suit both parties if he can get first team football and a long term deal elsewhere and frees up wages for us.

I dont think so. Coalville & Akpan to come back into the squad. O'Connor can play there, especially now we have signed a CB and to be honest I can see another CB coming in before a CM

It's only freeing up one weeks of wages!

Did a good job at a crucial time. Good luck to him.

Be a fantastic signing for Notts county better than league 2 in my opinion shame we couldn't hang onto him.

We'd offered him a contact upto the end of this season. So obviously what ever was offered goes back into end of season 2019 budget

shame he turned down the offer to stay, but can't blame him if he has a longer deal on the table elsewhere.

he has been massive in our recent revival. good luck to him.

I think Akpan has improved a lot recently (since Edin left, oddly enough) and will be first choice next to Lewis O'Brien.
there's also Colville, and O'Connor that can do a job there.

I expect they are throwing a bit of money at him. Them dropping out of the league would be disastrous.

Not sure, I don't rate O'Connor in central midfield and he's our best defender so should play there. And I'm not too confident with only Akpan, LOB and Colville as the only options, so I think another one would be sensible.

Best of luck to him. He helped raise the bar back up when he got into the side. With Akpan looking a revitalised player under Hopkin's fitness regime, he found his gametime more limited recently, but he gave his all in his short time at the club and I wish him well.

Surprised to see him drop into L2 though - he was more than good enough for a steady away L1 side. Maybe Notts County are splashing the cash again.

Definitely needs replacing in my view, isn't one of the players I'd have got rid of, but if better terms offered elsewhere then fair enough.

Glad to see we're cutting out cloth after unrealistic Rahic era, but would like to see a couple of morale boosting signings now.

He’ll need to be replaced. Akpan has a questionable injury record and Wright is leaving. Another CM required.

And if the lad from Leeds signs then we’ve filles out loan quota so it’ll need to be a permanent signing. Although, I think we’ll look to take on Balls contract - but will likely add another loan striker anyway.

And even if Payne goes, he’d surely have to be replaced by another loanee.

I wonder if we’ll also look to take on Miller permanently....?

O’Connor should only be anywhere near midfield as a last resort. I like the look of Colvile long term but we need back up for Akpan.

Good luck to JO'B, he was the flag bearer of the new breed to show Hopkin's philosophy of hard work and graft on the pitch.
