Another social media one, Harrison Ashby linked. Right back/wing back from Newcastle. Recently turned 24, ome from their academy who has had a few loans CH loans in the last few seasons but hasn't clicked.

Managed 17 starts from 29 apps in the champ last season at QPR. Looks like he covered a game or two at left back/left wing back for them too but is definitely a right back/wing back.

 

Surprised Newcastle still have him at 24 if that’s the case and he’s been loaned to Championship. Seems a realistic target at least.

 

It doesn't look like it will be much to worry about and it could be lifted in a week. Sounds like the admin team got behind with it. As long as they're not hiding anything it shouldn't impact their transfers other than delaying them by a week. Let's hope they don't get it lifted before 12 on Friday so they can't register any new players

Looking at him online he came through the West Ham academy then Newcastle bought him 3 years ago for a fee of up to 3mil. Unless Halliday is leaving I can't really see why we'd go for him

 

The type of player we should be targeting in my opinion. Good age with a bit of Championship experience.

 

Totally agree that it's a good profile and it's the type of signings we should look at. My concern is more the position he plays as it would mean we have 3 players for the RWB role that would all take up a squad place and I would imagine a decent chunk of the wage bill between them. If Halliday was to leave then all of that doesn't matter

 

I think Halliday will leave this window

I am not knocking Halliday by the way, he has been a great servant for us, however, I would say Neufville is the better option in the formation we play, and I am sure he has now regained his spot in the team.

 

I kinda agree but Alexander had to go back to the reliable Halliday as we were getting one decent game in 3 or 4 from Neufville.

 

He will on loan if we get in an upgrade to play RWB.
Out of contract in the summer as well.
