Depends on what City are willing to contribute to get him off our books ..............maybe a case of paying half his wages till the end of the season and Grimsby offering him a new contract on less money at the end of the season.

 

According to the Walsall forum there fsns had a big issue with him when he was there resjlting in a massive argument during one gsme ...............and is Cook really gonna go to a club a lot further from his home at his age if a more local club is after him

 

We have to aim much higher than Orient squad players if we want to get promoted. A bizarre one.

 

He's probably to play 4th/5th fiddle in midfield, probably wont make the bench even some games. Squad filler youth loan.

Still young last time I checked? Meant youth more in terms of what he'd mean to the squad or his slot in the team. If he’s replacing Pattisons minutes, which haven't really been there for a month or two, thats all we need him for as a filler. A U21s deal (when he signed it) at Newcastle is probably cheaper than what Pattison was on too i guess?

If it pushes Leigh down the pecking order then I’m all for bringing him in.

 

I reckon we bring one in on a cheap loan even if it isn't this lad. Power will be banned for 2 games soon and for those two it's Metcalfe and either using Sibley there, but GA has said he wants him in the attacking slots. Or Tommy Leigh gets another run. One injury to Power or Metcalfe and the mid looks very thin.

 

We need to be bringing someone in to compete with Power and Metcalfe, not cover them. Agtee we are short in the CM role but we need to aim higher IMO.

 

Where has GA said that he wants Sibley in the attacking slots? He looks like a “like for like” Pattison replacement to me.

 

White had a bad injury at Orient which put him behind however the year before at MK did really well with good stats according to who scored. So he could turn out well for now and the future if he is a permanent signing

 

Fully agree, but for the first time in a while it feels like GA has settled on his CM, which makes me think we are looking at back ups.

It's a weird one, if this was last summer and we were linked with Joe White at the same time we were linked with Metcalfe.... both played in L2 last season on loan, both played the same CM roles, both played similar minutes as White managed 1959 mins and Metcalfe 1712 mins. White in a poor MK side scored 6 with 2 assists from CM, Metcalfe in a play off chaser at Chesterfield with 1 goal 1 assist which came in the same game. On paper, you'd want White every day of the week.
