I'm glad we've got Sparks playing hard ball. Imagine if we allowed players to move for peanuts.

 

Brandon - Has literal zero EFL experience
Michael - Played well for half a season and is brought in to replace our talismanic legend of a goalscorer.
George - Unwanted by a League Two club below us in the league table
Tommy - Unwanted by a League Two club below us in the league table, sold within 5 months of making his debut, cited as having attitude issues.

Couldn't be a more underwhelming bunch of transfers, unfortunately there's not a cat in hells chance we're going up with this type of business

I agree with the Khela and Lapslie feelings.
I'm optimistic about Mellon and Leigh though.
Both decent players.
Although I believe these additions aren't here to walk straight into the starting 11.
They're here to add strong competition as we've shown we have an ok starting side but weak from the bench.

 

I agree with this.

The other thing to remember is that David Sharp did say in the summer that it could take 3 transfer windows to be in the place where he wants us to be.

I think he is a shrewd operator and I would imagine he is working as the Director of Football whilst Sparks, despite his official title, is more or less concentrating on the commercial side of operations now.

 

Why the cheap dig at Jake Young? Far from sulking he's playing at a team mid table in league one.

 

If Sparks left now I don't think we'd miss him

The CEO is never missed in any business I have been involved in. Another comes in and for continuity they are expected to tow the company and shareholder goals.

They “tinker” but nothing really changes .

Longo is the chief commercial officer now so I imagine Ryan is probably concentrating more on making sure there's enough milk in the fridge.

I haven't seen any of them play so I will have to reserve judgement. Leigh/Mellon have had some purple career patches but then they seem to be firmly league two standard at present, and Mellon hasn't played much this season. I like the sound of Tommy Leigh, seems to have something about him.

Tbh id now be concentrating on trying to stop us conceding, and upgrading the defence. I think we have had only something like 2 clean sheets since mid October, and an away record in the last 6 of DLDDLD. That definitely won't get us promoted.

 

Now we have another in the door as of last night, what can we expect , as opposed to what we as fans want, over the coming days.

A more physical forward to give us a different option to play two up top?
