With the January 2025 transfer window soon to be upon us, it seems appropriate to start a new thread.

The January 2025 transfer window will open on Wednesday 1 January 2025 and close at 11pm on Monday 3 February 2025.

Let the rumours / speculation begin.

What do we reckon then? Do we need outs before ins? We've got one loan slot left if Adams isn't coming back.

Think most agree we need some firepower and a left wing back. Maybe a CB too depending on the market and if maybe Diabate or Shepherd go back once Kelly and Baldwin are fit and their gametime dries up.

Do we really need another LWB.For me,Richards is doing perfectly well in that position,it's Wright who is the problem.

A striker, box to box type midfielder to replace Adams, and a keeper for genuine competition for Walker.

Some pace in the middle and maybe a striker if he doesn't like Sanderson. A free cheap keeper too.

Of course! Another letter from our chairman pledging whatever is required so we can compete against the top clubs in our division in the transfer market? Is that close enough?

I'm surprised he can afford it after the beefing up of the budget that's clearly already taken place.

Can we please sign somebody who can stay fit and not succumb to mid/long term injuries.

The percentage of the summer signings who have missed so much of the season between them so far is alarming.

We cant be far off the "having Callum Johnson back is like having a new signing" type T&A article?

Miles off returning apparently. I have some doubts that we will ever see him in a City shirt. He his almost halfway through his contract already.

Yep plenty of the players wages budget not featuring on the pitch during match days - what was it Mr Sharpe said?

Really can we just not claim some sort of injury insurance compensation and release him. His registration in the squad, is a loss of a viable squad member. He will take several weeks to regain match fitness, when/if he ever is fit enough to play again.

The signings we made this summer have had an alarming amount of time out injured, Sharpe says we are ready for January - fill anyone with confidence?!
