    Sincerely hope it is worth the wait, but I fully expect to be underwhelmed!

    With regards to acting on transfer targets early, that's one thing we can't criticise the club for at the moment.Tbf, Sparky and team have been quick out of the blocks to get targets signed in both windows and done plenty of business on both occasions.

    I think in this instance, it would be fair to assume this opportunity arose late in the day and the club has tried to act as quickly as possible to get it done.

    I've narrowed it down to two possibilities:
    1. the deal has been trapped in a temporal causality loop; or
    2. the EFL are incompetent.
