I won't reveal the source or player either but I can reveal the bid was made including Guthrie and DMH thrown in for free. That bid was rejected so we took Guthrie and DMH out of the equation and its now being seriously considered.

I heard it was rejected because they had furloughed the turnstile operators and didn't think bringing in DMH & Guthrie to do that role was appropriate at present

We can rule Ched Evans out. He hasn't actually been released by Fleetwood but is available to any club that will pay his settlement costs. Preston leading the way.

The deal originally offered isn't a goer but I don't know if City will up their offer....don't want to jeopardise anything if so. If we are firming up our interest I expect the agent will leak the news anyway and try get a bidding war going? I know there is a team down south also interested in the player as well.

I've close links with the player and I know he is out of contract in the summer and City tested the water with a six figure bid. Another club, in a higher division, based down south, have also shown an interest in him since the transfer window opened.

I just don't know if City have come back with an improved offer or intend on doing so given he is out of contract in the summer.

 

If you're insinuating Kieran Agard, why would anyone offer six figures for an injured player who hasn't made a league appearance this season? Or more to the point why would the club turn it down?
