We were stupid enough to sign him so surely there is someone else out there stupid enough to take him off our hands. that may be but if hes out for another 12 months it's yet another waste of a wage.

He's not had bad injuries in the past and looked very lively in pre-season games, sometimes there nothing you can do when a player gets a bad injury, maybe Derek Adams regime with regards training didn't help, seems strange once Sparkie came in players were said to be in-front with regards returning to where we originally thought they would be,
I don't understand your "We were stupid enough to sign him" comment he didn't get any game time until the last game of the season were Sparkie put him on for the last 20 minutes, I'll certainly not judge him on that.

You do realise he's not actually injury prone and just had a bad 12 months at VP?

The two seasons before that he played 36 and 41 games.

Jake Reeves had the same record prior to joining us and look how that turned out. I don't even think Eisa reached double figure games for us last season and I've lost patience with players who are always injured. I realise his record perfectly well you don't have to be patronising about it.

Because we signed someone who played about 3 games for us

Surely that’s bad luck he has another year to put the record straight

That's fine Broncs but if we're spending yet more months hoping he'll be 'back this week', 'ready in a couple of weeks', 'just got back out on the grass with the lads and looking good' etc etc whilst we have yet another mediocre season, it won't be hindsight at all. We as a club have got form for doing this.

If he proves me wrong fantastic but I would be trying to move him on to let hughes bring his own man in.

He came on against Carlisle so you would imagine he has recovered now. A full pre season ahead and he should be good to go in August

That is fair comment hopefully the club football wise will be run correctly under Sparkie, again I think you jumping the gun until his early injury he was looking very promising, but hay time will tell.

I'm not being patronising. You're the one calling him injury prone and I'm just making you aware of the facts.

That's fine if the player has history of injuries, but he doesn't. Pretty much all professional footballers are going to receive a bad injury within the game at some point that keeps them out for a long period of time and this was his. I'm not even considering if he can stay fit but more along the lines of because we've seen so little of him is he good enough.

Getting back to the thread I know zero about the lad as I didn't see any of our games with FGR to comment 1st hand, but what I will say is I think there's a lot of positive assumptions we can make from a very young lad a long way from home holding his own in a promotion winning squad. It couldn't have been easy for the kid not a chance, but you can only imagine his delight and enthusiasm to carry that path along on his door step with us with all his friends and family close to hand.

He’s very very mobile can bend a ball from distance with his “ wrong” foot ( watch the goal at VP) likes to work on the left side and cut in on the right. ( 4-1 game)I also think he was the lad whose long mazy run who scored at VP after one of our lads was “fouled “ but not given , deep in their own half.

Just search out YouTube vids Bradford v FGR last two seasons. From memory.

All correct and I actually can't believe this is being cited as the reason he may not extend his time with us. It's absolutely ridiculous. You're talking about a 30 minute each way shorter journey time if he was to sign for Lincoln, it's not exactly a deal breaker is it? He may well be playing his football elsewhere next season, but it won't be so he can get home for his tea half an hour earlier.

And if you can avoid all that....

Are you a parent? If the kids are settled in school with friends then maybe they want to avoid distrupting that. Obviously CV is of the same thought or he would have moved to avoid 160 mile round trip to training.

Lincoln can pay him the same/more. Are 40 miles closer and play the league above. Its a no brainer everything else aside.
