Yeah if they wanna spunk all their playing budget on a luxury player and probably get relegated.

 

And rightly so in my opinion.

 

We know Bowyer had problems with regards having too many here on loan, O'Connor found it difficult to get a regular start because he was a loan player.
I'm not sure Bowyer didn't play him because he didn't fancy him, some of the formations from both Hopkin & Bowyer he was not best suited to, certainly under Bowyers time he was a luxury player and someone not in his opinion up to the other side of the game, getting back and helping out defensively.

 

If someone can turn him into a lousy big brick shit house pub player between now and August I'd have him back in a heart beat !

 

Some of our fans are just deluded and look at the football word through rose-tints.

This season’s loanee, Jack Payne, is a Championship player? What, just like Josh Cullen is, and Burke a future England player and regular in the Premier League?

 

The thing is ............... Our squad set the bar so LOW this year, even the refreshment Kiosk staff appeared good !

 

Unfortunately since he resigned in january he let us and himself down big time,so unless he ups his game and attitude it's a big NO from me

 

He resigned? No wonder he was a no show for the rest of the season then.

 

Nice little player, but having to force him into formations was a mistake. Especially with no wingers.

Was woeful after Xmas. Those misses at Walsall sealed our fate.

I'd take Payne back, but it's not realistic is it. massive wages, and is he going to do a job in the physical up and at 'em league 2? doubtful.

money better spent elsewhere.

 

but Josh Cullen is every inch a championship quality player, and Reece Burke is a future premier league player. just because they arent there yet doesn't mean they aren't going to make it. they are both quality.

 

I liked Payne but he didn’t perform for Bowyer at all. With hindsight we’d have been better not extending his deal on higher wages and bringing in others in his place ....but I think at the time we did right to keep him as he was key in our revival around Xmas. Besides, we’d maxed out most of the loan quota anyway.

He’ll do well for someone like Sunderland or Portsmouth in League One next season.

 

He's a fecking disgrace, played his heart out in Dec thinking he'd get his championship move in Jan. Then sulked second half of season, having us wasting what spare budget we had on him.

Wouldn’t cope in league two though according to our fans.
