Honestly, you save your overtime money for a few months, of all the things you could buy you buy a number plate that means nothing to no one else. Just don't get it, unless your sticking it on a high end sports car and even then it still looks sad. Its not like you don't already know its your car. or what about 'truckers' with their first name on a number plate in the cab window. Just to remind them when they go for a piss and forget on the way back.

 

I don’t mind them. If you have one, and they’re unfathomable as to what they represent to anyone around you, then they’re utterly pointless.

 

I don't have overtime money mate, and it's not on a top of the range sports car.

I cannot see the point of a personalised plate unless you have the ultimate, in my case JB1 or 1JB, any other just means you can't afford the best one.
Also the real Saddo's who alter the spacing or add screw covers to try and make it spell something that isn't there, as this is illegal why don't they all get nicked for it.
Don't get me started on the idiots who put a super new spoiler on the front of their car and then stick a tiny number plate on one side, how do they get away with it, especially when they usually drive like a kangaroo as well.

The incredible awkwardness of things.

Gas fireplace stops working on Monday -- pilot light stays lit, but it won't fire up on command. Connexions fine, batteries in thermostat fine. Fireplace continues not working Tuesday and Wednesday. Service bloke arrives half an hour ago; asks me to demonstrate the lack of fire. You all know what happens next -- fireplace works normally, and no problems found anywhere.
