Yesterday's result might have been a blessing in disguise. The pitch, the empty seats and the"team"layed out for him to enjoy.Plus some home truths from that fan with his banknote. He will know now ,surely, that if something doesn't change his whole investment could be gone.

If it doesn't give him the impetus to act and act quickly then we really are in deep Sh1te
My only fear is he turns to captain admin for guidance which would be an unmitigated disaster
Rupp really doesn't have any contacts/interest in football other than JR so where does he turn !!!
Hopefully he revisits some of the offers he's had and does some serious talking albeit with a weakened hand
We will see in the next week or so which way he turns if any
RS job must be well and truly in the balance if Rupp stays he has to go if Rupp sells he will go anyway
Yesterdays debacle could well turn out to be a good day for us -

5 million is a lot of money for someone whos interest in the club is virtually nil voluntary adding extra 500k to this year's playing budget as a "good will" gesture seems equally hard to believe especially after Sparks said publicly other than covid Rupp has not invested
If Mr Rupp sees himself as the great provider why didn't he invest/buy the ground when we were a top end L1 club and going places he had a better chance of improving his investment then
We will soon see if it's all bluster or not and am happy to be proven wrong but it simply doesn't add up to me especially when he took nearly 2 weeks to even speak to our new manager
Your last sentence makes the most sense he needs to sellJudgeMental and Onside like this. -

So yes, he is to blame as the rot started the day he set foot in the club.Ponty City likes this. -

He absolutely now must relieve Sparks of his duties and make a statement to the fans ahead of the ST deadlines that he will provide sufficient funds to GA to challenge for the automatic promotion spots next season.
Then he’s got 3 years to negotiate on the VP lease problem with Gibb but any suggestion of renewing at current rental levels and expecting fans to fund it whilst the playing budget suffers and I’ll also be sacking this club off.Ponty City likes this. -

The man seriously os a fooking ego maniac ........we are a fooking sham of a football club the joke of League 2 and yet the man at the helm is happy for this to go on ??????
Honestly you get a season ticket then so be it but when in 12 months time we have another shit two transfer window we have another manager who has given the boot and we stand in midtable or worse...........simply dont come here on moan.Mal Content likes this. -
Been saying for ages Sparks and Gent need to go (please Stefan, you must see this after yesterday) but the challenge then is who sources their replacements. Its a real dilemma.
Do we trust and have sufficient faith in GA to build his own recruitment team, particularly when his own position is somewhat up for question?
We need the changes for the sake of the club but also need some longevity in whatever we do or we will never truly progressMallorcaBantam likes this. -
Here is the question for both Sparks and Rupp. How would you judge success? Do you think that we have been successful on the football field during your tenure?
That is it for me a football club primary goal is to be competitive and progressive and have both short term and long term plans in place.
They should both be considering their future after this season especially but for the last 8 years. They both need to be honest with themselves and the fans. I have felt like mushroom for years now. Kept in the dark and fed on BS.vladimir likes this. -

Btw as for throwing us under the bus regarding these two i can guarantee that not one person on here was against the change in ownership unless your mystic meg
We needed investment to push on to the next level and neither Lawn and Rhodes had the funds to do that and in all honest had Rupp not listened to that khoont Rahic then i doubt we would be in this messBantamsteve likes this. -
Don't class a handful of visits per season an owner deemed interested to be fair I would like/class an interested owner to be more "hands on" if not himself then one of his representatives/advisers
Let's be honest when he appointed RS as CEO he knew his background and experience to be insufficient for such a high profile job
It's a complete mess to be honest on the surface it looks like the owner and ceo aren't singing from the same hymn sheet
Who knows what goes on in the corridors of power the fans don't and aren't ever likely to !!!Onside likes this.
