It is only 720p so its not the highest fidelity, its also most likely using a lot of compressions so when your TV upscales it to 4K resolution of the panel it's going to lack the pixels to do it well. Coupled with the less than ideal FPS. And also blowing it up on a TV size screen will just make those issues more noticeable. The likelihood is the licence doesn't really cover showing it on a TV so getting it to look good on a TV won't really be a concern.

I watch it on my PC mainly. And I generally put it on one of my two 24" monitors rather than my 27" just because its always going to look better on a slightly smaller screen with the bitrate, resolution and frame rate they use

Are you able to plug your HDMI directly into your laptop? I have a MAC Laptop but I need a special connector in order to plug the HDMI cable. The picture was certainly watchable it just wasn’t as good as our normal TV picture. We have a 4K Sony Smart TV. But as @SimonW@SimonW says, they broadcast for laptops and mobiles, so are not interested in getting the TV picture right. I don’t have fibre broadband, we are still getting ours through copper wire from the green boxes.

I found it's best to turn off the Ultra HD setting when watching it on the TV. Makes it a lot smoother.

I've found it improves things if you don't have anything else open in your browser or use your laptop whilst watching the game.
