I've emailed EFL, they replied 'speak to chat room on the website. Did so but nobody has replied. Says 'waiting for agent'.
Now speaking to Rasal who is looking into it.
Now disconnected. Just about sums this service up.

 

Isn't ifollow owned by the EFL? I'm guessing they have contracts with broadcasters and agreements with the clubs that they won't show live games and your very sensible suggestion will just be dumped in the "too hard" box.

 

They just like playing with us. Obviously they know, that with half an hour to go, we're all set to go: beers in fridge, Mrs sent out shopping, kids given Xbox.

Then we, with a deep breath, log onto the site, spend 5 mins logging in, then another 5 logging in again because it says "sign in" when we're already signed in, then another 5 mins trying to find out which button to press to get the live video up (why don't they just have a massive button for this on the home page), then waiting nervously for the video to appear, and anxiously watching for the quality, we click on the cast to tv button, only to get "no devices found", which means we have to turn of the telly and turn it back again, before realising that the game in now 5 mins old and we've probably missed a goal. Finally everything is working, and you realise that there's a cold one in the fridge with your name on it, and everything is ok. Until the dreaded pause, and then drop in quality so bad, that it looks like you're watching a C64 game.

Well, that's my Saturdays anyway!

The wording on the EFL website is the same as it was last season so we'll have to wait until 7th September when it's the first international break to see if they put them games as they never really announce it until last minute last season.
Aside from them all matches within the blocked hours of 14.45-17.15 on Saturday afternoons will be blacked out and not available on iFollow with fixtures taking place on Bank Holidays or Easter will be made available on a game-by-game basis. So basically it will only be any Tuesday 7:45 matches unless international weekend matches are allowed and maybe bank holiday, the Grimsby match doesn't look like it's available so first match will be Stevenage away on 20th August. I have just spoken to Radio Leeds " Sam" . He connected to the I Follow stream at 1.30pm and was not aware of any problems. If it happens again their contact number is 0800 3893333.

Although it's no consolation to those of us who listened to the recorded message all afternoon Sam is reporting my complaint to his manager.

What I don't get with ifollow is why when the allocation for tickets for away games are sold out, season ticket holders can't buy a match pass to watch the game. I understand the whole point of access not being available in the UK is because of the fear it could lead to smaller gates, but if fans are not able to attend the game because tickets are sold out, what's the issue with fans purchasing a match pass on ifollow on the day? It wouldn't make any difference to the gate because those tickets are already sold out, but it would provide an extra source of income for the club and would allow those fans unlucky not to get a ticket to actually see the game.

 

Spent half an hour trying to find the old radio in the garage because I don’t trust iFollow and the wife tells me she’s given it to her sister....

 

Hiya. I've just used my UK account. I think it must recognise a non-uk IP address when you connect abroad. Its worked everytime for me so far. Only problem is sometimes the definition goes a bit but then it seems to come back

 

If you have a laptop you can. You just get the game set up on your laptop, then plug a hdmi cable from you tv to your laptop and whatever is on your laptop comes on the tv

 

If you have a smart TV you can cast it from your laptop, I use chromecast.

 

Definitely worth it, always good picture coverage with audio from bbc leeds, good value for a tenner with the beer just a few yards away in the fridge, no parking worries, all good...
