Hoping this is going to be a routine win for us. Not being naive but, like Swindon, we are at home and have nothing to fear whatsoever. Yes they are good scorers but have a terrible record of conceding. Let's put them to the sword from the first minute

 

I would take a scrappy win again just to continue the teams development and to in the top 3 come xmas and then bring in reinforcements in January for a right go at automatic promotion.

Keep our home form good and continue to nick away wins here and there and who knows.

 

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but Leeds are at home tomorrow - unusual for them to be at home on the same day as us. It’s usually one of us and home and the other away.

With 3 West Yorkshire teams so near to each other in the EFL, there is often going to be 2 of us at home together, so I am sure there are plenty of occasions when it is Leeds and us at home at the same time

 

All my mates are L**ds season ticket holders, somehow it hardly ever happens we are both at home on the same day.

Nah, hasn't been for years. Us and Dog Botherer's usually at home same Saturday. Police can't police them and anyone else at same time.

For what it's worth here's my thoughts on the 3 amigo centre halfs.

A O'Connor for me has been our strongest centre half this season winning more tackles & clearing shots off the line on a couple of occasions too.

BRE absolute beast in the air and generally been very good but as been turned a few times when backing off his man that said this is L2 after all so to be expected.

Paudie probably our biggest asset at the club top defender who is going places can pass tackle and score goals a added plus for a defender.

We have also taken 7 pts from the 3 games BRE has missed so for me I wouldn't drop either of the O'Connors at present.

 

Not strictly true, as it’s one of the rules put into the fixture generator for us not to be home at the same time. 99% of the time we’re not both at home

Hard to argue against any of that, Ricky. As others have said - It's up to BRE to Win back the shirt.
But great to have on what is becoming a strong Bench.

 

I am a believer in playing your best players available, unless they are off form. BRE was our most influential centre back before his suspension, and I wouldnt hesitate bringing him straight back in

No room for sentiment, play our best players and get out of this league as soon as possible.

Vaughan should also be recalled, should have been last week actually

 

We are in the fortunate position this season of having 3 very capable central defenders and a young lad in French who also shows promise. As Ricky pointed out, we've taken 7 points from the 3 games BRE has missed so it would be harsh to drop either of the O'connors just to slot him back in. He may well have to bide his time on the bench, which is fair enough imo.
