Its certainly a nice situation for Bowyer to be in, when we realise who is stil out or can't make a start ( for whatever reason) the squad as a whole is looking good.

He may well have been nominated but I know what I've seen with my own eyes and whilst he hasn't been poor, he's behind both AOC and BRE in my ratings for the season.

 

AOC has been rock solid since coming in. I think people are still hung up on the armband thing last year with him. He's definitely a better player than he was last year.

Let just be thankful with got 3 quality CBs. Do people need reminding about what we were seeing last year defensively?

 

Oh I still think he's a kn0b, but credit where it's due, he's one of the first names on the team sheet for me at the moment.

 

I think it makes sense to include as many as possible but I suppose the performance and results will dictate just how many he can make.

 

Can’t believe people are calling for Paudie to be dropped. Nominated for player of the month, has an attacking presence at the other end and oozes class. The lad will be back in League 1 if not the Championship in no time whether we are or not. He’s a player with value we need to continue to develop.

A. O’Connor and BRE can fight it out for the other spot. AOC deserves his place at present.

 

Saturday's referee, Will Finnie, is in his first season on the EFL list.

Might put a bet on bookings this week if he's going to blow the whistle every 5 mins.

Its a good dilemma to have. I agree with you about Paudie, definitely not drop him. Dropping AOC might also seem harsh, but think we look stronger with BRE at the back, so I would bring him back in. I dont like playing 3 at the back at this level, so unlucky as it may seem, I would have AOC make way

 

Only change for me is Mellor gives us another attacking option and good in the air for set pieces. And for once a bloody good bench in case.

 

Selection dilemma for me on this one as much as I've rated BRE since he came in he's got a real scrap on his hands to get the shirt back AOC has done well as has POC. If Mellor is fit he comes in for Henley for me. Up top I don't know how he leaves a player of Vaughans quality out again. I'd probably drop Akpan back to the bench but it's a very tough call given how he's done in the last two games.

BRE is our best CD along with Paudie. Yes, hash on AOC who has don't we'll but he is 3rd in line and is cover.

Mellor needs to up his game but starts if fit.

If we play with the formation that's been working of late the Vaughan starts on the bench because we need Donaldson strength up top.

 

Interesting how differently we all see things. For me, the strongest pairing has been BRE and AOC so if changes were made, it would have to be Paudie out for BRE for me. That said, neither deserve to be dropped just because BRE is available again so maybe he will just have to bide his time on the bench.

What a nice situation for Bowyer to be in should he drop Paudie or AOC to bring BRE back, and should he drop one of our attacking options to bring Vaughan back, when the likes of Palmer, Devitt and Reeves are back to match fitness that will be a bigger dilemma.

 

That's both Akpan and Mellor suspended then - both on four bookings!!
