Spot on this but @BradfordBanter@BradfordBanter might say you're repeating yourself.

People need to understand that Bowyer's tactics and mindset to the game is the main issue at the moment.

Is it an issue is the question.

    Is there a problem.

    Not really.

He would be as sensible a replacement as Grayson was for Stuart.

Wrong manager, wrong style, wrong players, wrong time. Imagine him working with our first xi. No thanks.

Someone like that needs to come in at the end of the season, assess the squad, make the changes, get a couple of years grace, zero criticism, and be allowed to run the club.

This is bang on, its the go to excuse along with sacking Martin Drury. 4-3-3 can be construed as conservative when its played like we are currently playing. It does have benefits, teams aren't running through our non existent midfield with an extra body in there. But on the flip side the way we're set up creates less chances.

We have not played 4-3-3 for about 2 months. The clue is everybody moaning about Vaughan struggling up top on his own! We started the season with 4-3-3 and Donaldson/ Vaughan/ Scannell (then Connolly or Ismail) as the forward 3 but switched to 4-2-3-1 after getting overrun in midfield a couple of times and Donaldson getting injured. 4-2-3-1 seemed to spark Connolly, Ismail and Pritchard into a few outstanding performances but they've all gone off the boil a bit now, as has Cooke. After a couple of good shows partnering in the "2", Akpan seems to have started to wander off a bit, too. Maybe they've all got too comfortable. Bowyer seemed to make the new boys wait a bit until they played so they were probably trying hard to prove fitness and get their chance. Maybe they need to get that spark back. That's Bowyer's job. I agree 4-4-2 probably needs to be plan B more often and not 70-80 minutes into games we are losing.

Newport have a few injuries to first choice defenders and I hear they are struggling in central defence, they are also very direct and physical. If Bowyer gets the tactics right on Saturday then Newport are there for the taking. A decent team at this level no doubt but with their defensive injuries and their form starting to dip we should be winning this one at home.

    Bradford 0 vs 2 Newport.

Bowyer, clueless. Tactical master class failure. Our slid to continues.

    Morning.

Got to Stick with Bowyer until at least the end of the season, most of the players are "HIS" players, would take too long for a new manager to get the players to play his style of play.

We've got some good players though and he's restricting them? What makes you think something is going to click into place? Long ball merchant bypassing some talented midfielders and wingers into a Striker that isn't a target man? Awful tactics. We don't have the players to be a long ball side. Got to play to your strengths. We've looked dangerous in patches in the season when we have had Cooke in advanced positions and getting the ball out wide early to Ismail and Connolly. Why just hit and hope to Vaughan who is most effective in the box. Put any sort of quality in the box and he attacks it really well. How can't Bowyer see this?

I was watching Bowyer on Saturday whilst we were lumping it long and he wasn't happy. In his defence I doubt he tells the players to lump it unless its neccessary. It did look on Saturday, especially when Reeves was on the ball that he looked to want to play but with very little, if any movement for him. The wide men need to improve a lot again to get us playing and with options wide.

433 can work if the movement is good and it gives you options, I think we play more 451 personally but its irrelevant if nobody is wanting the ball.

No we haven't got to stick with him at all.

If he's not going to take us up then we need to make a decision quickly

A good, well explained post TGM ……. And I agree.
We (City) have our obvious faults - Bowyer, and his set up's, yet Flynn too, has his own issues. However, despite his latest form - Flynn can get a tune or two from his squad, no matter how depleted it seems.
Therefore, until I see Bowyers 'approach' change - I see nothing but a tight hard fought Win for Newport. 0 - 1 :(

I really don't know why you're banging on about the 5 games. Two of those games were in a competition you yourself said did not matter and advocated getting knocked out of as soon as possible. One was the EFL trophy - nuff said. Another we got a point that's likely to get expunged anyway. When you boil it down your still really only getting your knickers in a twist over the Plymouth game. Go in a darkened room, have a good cry - you'll feel better and then get ready for Newport.

Ok, call it 2 then it's still 2 and we can't afford to make it 3 on Saturday.
