Home v Lincoln [11 October Postponed] - Now Tue 28 October 2025 7.45pm

@Birky Bantam posted that Lincoln have to decide by Sunday if they want the game postponed. Seems likely that they will.

 

The will seek postponement if they fear us, they will if they have injuries to clear up despite some of their player eligibility for selection.

 

If it’s called off it will be almost 2 and a half weeks before we play another league game after tomorrow nights game.

 

Will we benefit from returning injured players if that's the case?
I'm not sure of timescale for those currently out.

Yes I thought they might after Lincoln fan hinted it on a podcast the other day. Ashame but atleast Graham can say to them tomorrow to absolutely go for it!

 

Yes. They can all feature against Everton U21s to get some fitness in. Byrne, J Wright, Richards, Baldwin, maybe even Kavanagh....

This isnt a bad thing in all honesty.

 

Hopefully it isn't a bad thing. Just hope it doesn't put a stop to our momentum.

I have a 5 year old grandaughter who has now been to quite a lot of games and never seen a loss. She cannot go on a Tuesday eve. How the hell did Lincoln know that.

 

Always seemed likely to be postponed. I'd imagine we'll try to get a behind closed doors game arranged next week at some point for the likes of Cook, Byrne, McIntyre to get some more minutes and also keep other ticking over. Should be a few options around with no games in the Championship and even teams like Burnley should.

The 3rd game in league 1 postponed due to internationals with Luton vs Huddersfield called off earlier today and Barnsley vs Cardiff postponed a couple of days ago. At least we know if we win tomorrow then none of Lincoln, Cardiff or huddersfield can overtake going into the day of the Barnsley game although Stevenage play Lincoln in one of the early games that day so a chance for one of them to go top.

 

Who are the international call ups for Lincoln? Imps website mentions no names, which seems odd. Are they trying it on?

 

Could be a possibility, whether the game is the Saturday or Tuesday it will be the international break so Everton will have the same squad. Also it's better financially with more fans likely to attend on a Saturday and lower costs with floodlights no needed or at least not for as long.

 

Just see how many are actually called up?
I have a feeling they wanted it off?

 

All 3 will be called up, clubs can't request a postponement until they've got confirmation of at least 3 call ups.

 

That would be good as I've clearance already for the Saturday and train tickets booked.
