I think the system employed by T&S for the most part is right. The reason look at the results it has produced. It will be+helped when certain players vital to the system return from injury

As soon as I find out they're getting invited up to Keelham for a straightener.

No need for moderation in North Korea, m8. They all do what they are "supposed to do" or they're off to Yoduk or Kaechon (allegedly)

Agree Mr P but genuine question, how many will be back in time to effect our situation?

How many would actually affect it? There's only Callum Cooke so I'm not sure why we're making excuses that injuries are costing us.

And Novak who was our only constant striker before his injury in a poorly performing squad.

Our preferred system is 4-2-3-1 which has produced results but the system used on Saturday produced probably one of the worst performances we’ve seen. I suppose they we’re trying to make us less predictable so no issue for trying, just don’t do it again with the same players.

Don't think Park was using it as an excuse NM, simply pointing out that the system can work better were some of our injured players available. All teams have injuries, that is why we have a squad but we all know that the return of 2/3rds of our midfield plus Novak would strengthen us considerably. Remember what happened when Novak returned from his previous lay off and look what has happened to Tranmere since Vaughn got injured. My previous post was a genuine ask, does anyone know the situation with these 3? Please don't reply 2 weeks away.

He brings more energy than A’OC, but I’m not sure his passing or defensive work are any better. He’s improved since McCall left, but without trying to sound to much like Fordy I think we need a lot better, watching Bolton with Lee and Williams showed that we are actually quite weak in that are even when fully fit.

The only real loss for me is Cooke, he’s probably been our best player in the new system so is certainly a loss.

Kieran Lee is probably the best defensive midfielder in the division and Bolton the only club able to attract and afford him. Bolton now look the best team in the division, a lot to do with that midfield. Agree though, we need to be looking at better next season if we are to go up as champions.

For long stretches of the game it looked like a National League match. I realize Grimsby will probably be in it next season, but we're still in with a shout for play offs. We have to become sharper, cuter, more decisive in these last few games. Watching the ifollow live coverage, it looked like we were playing in slow motion at times.

I think Sutton is currently a very good L2 player. Cooke could and should be playing in L1.

But in the end, it's all about risk and reward. If we continue to be conservative over the last batch of games, we'll fall short of a play off place. If we show more ambition and 'go for it', we'll either succeed or fail. I go for risk - what have we got to lose? We're not going down.

I think Sutton is a big loss he is our main presser of the ball. I think his form had tailed of a bit before his injury but I hope he is back soon

I didn't mention Sutton as I thought the post referred to long term absences.

Not necessarily the success so far has been based on a solid defence. We need to keep that get the midfield back to where it was remember we have already beaten most of the teams above us. The last thing we want to do is get to cavalier and start shipping goals

I get what you're saying Park, but we had 45 minutes against ten men on saturday and we were so conservative. Rowe and Vernham should have come on immediately after half time to stretch them. When goal difference may well count in gaining a play off place, we should have been positively looking at this as an opportunity to force another 1 or 2 goals at least. In the end, you fall short if you're the team who doesn't go for it.

Look at Manchester City against Leeds who were down to ten men they went for it 76% possession and lost
