Embarrassing that a team of our rejects is doing far better than us. Absolutely embarrassing. Not for us, but for those inept jobsworth in charge of our once proud club.

Donaldson didn't touch the ball in the second half. How on earth (even with a decent first half) does that constitute an 8?

Cooke was 'anonymous' yet set up the goal? Although you thought the ball was played by Watt and marked him on that so perhaps you weren't paying much attention.

BRE a 7? A SEVEN? We conceded good chance after good chance and you're singing out our worst defender and giving him a 7?

Bizarre m8. Not one of them deserved more than a 6 and plenty dipped below that.

The tired legs, injuries, lots of games excuses are quite frankly getting pathetic now. He talks as if these issues are exclusive to us and us alone, and seems to conveniently forget that actually, we have less games to contend with than others because we are out of all 3 Cup competitions. Cheltenham played 120 minutes on Saturday and then travelled over 200 miles to play us on a bitterly cold Tuesday night. Did they complain about being tired?

I'm afraid that every comment Stuart makes at the moment just gives more cause for concern. Everything about what we're saying and doing, points to relegation.

We look a relegation side as it stands. Far too many passengers in the squad and an infrastructure that has been run down to a point of been unfit for purpose. Let's be honest, is anyone surprised we are languishing at the bottom of the table? A non existent scouting and transfer policy, coupled with an owner who has no interest in football and an ex CEO who has left the youngest in the class to pick up the pieces. We deserve to be where we are because we accept mediocrity. We'll, some haven't for a long time, people are beginning to realise they were right all along.

Cheltenham didn't stay over either. The games they've lost have been midweek away games and they put that down to having to travel and return in the day. So they were pleased to win last night all things considered.

I heard them say that on the radio but I was never quite sure - which doesn't really mean much given our organisation.

Are we saying that Hosannah actually played on the right of the upfront 3?

In his defence, with the numbers on the treatment table I'm not surprised he doesn't which formation he's going with.

The numbers in the squad might be comparable with other teams but the quality isn't. That lays squarely at the door of all those above. If they were going to appoint him, they should've funded the cancellation of those players who are clearly not good enough and blocked the re-signing of others.
That would've allowed McCall to bring in the minimum level of quality needed for the squad. Having said that, I seem to recall Stuart saying he didn't want to have lads sat in the stands on a weekend. Maybe that's why he wants kids and lads who'll feeling lucky to have a contract....

I think so although he seemed to be all over the park. One thing we do regularly lack is positional discipline, its why it's hard to work out what formation we are playing. Must be McCalls version of fluid football.

This is so true Idle, as hard as it is right now the one thing we need to remember is lasts weeks announcement was NOT going to change this. We just have to hope last weeks words about being ready for January (and I mean Jan 1st!) have substance - and for me that means incomings and starting to weed out some of the dross (hate using that phrase about people but applying it purely in a League footballer sense)

As tough as it is for us to hear you have got it right in my eyes - he cant publicly write of his current players with 7 more game before the window, we have to get some points from these matches and hopefully a few of them will rise to the challenge. If there are not significant changes in early January then I will be joining the views of Fordy, RC and the rest!!

I don't agree, I think the blame lays firmly at the feet of the management team for being unable to coach them into an actual team. Take last night for example, the back 5 were all at the club last season and all regularly played in a mid-table to play off side. Midfield, you had Watt & Cooke who were both League Two players with Donaldson who I agree is past it. DMH, Scales and French probably are non-league level and then you have Hossannah who is clearly a level above.

The comment further up this thread shows that Carlisle are performing admirably with players that our management deemed not good enough in favour of some of these mentioned above! That in itself says it all!

    McCall out!

I don't disagree, but these are the players who he stated that he was happy with at the start of the season. Even in last nights interview, it didn't sound as though he was desperate to bring in new players but more get some of the injured bunch back.

I think if everyone is expecting an influx of new personnel just as we enter 2021, then there will be some huge disappointment! That's why we need him gone ASAP.

Not sure what youre saying - we have the players and its all down to the manager - but you then say we have a player who is past it and 3 at non league level - so thats over a 3rd of the team last night.
McCall has got a lot wrong this season (and last summer), we cant change that - so we either get rid of him or we have to see what happens in January and the club (in its wisdom ) has gone for the latter
