DMH was not even bothering to challenge for a number of balls so instantly it comes straight back , I saw some positives there from the lads even though we lost, we took the game to them first half and suffered a cruel blow at the worst time

Can’t defend a McCall for where we are and his recruitment policy but the system suited the players better and I think they responded. Hopefully he sticks to 442.

Both Grimsby and Scunthorpe above us have a game in hand, if they win them it opens up a gap as you say. The bottom 5 as they currently stand do look very poor, we just have to hope were not one of the two at the arse end of the season.

I am not making excuses for anyone clearly there is something not right in the training/preparation which is causing so many soft tissue injuries. Having a small squad means that you have to take extra care with players. I once had a conversation with Stan Ternant assistant to Terry Dolan who told me that if you structure preparations right you can cut soft tissue injuries right down.
Whatever our future is we need to vastly improve in that area

You’re right.Cant comment on tonight’s game or post match comments as not seen or heard but even after saturdays defeat when he said they couldn’t even do the basic fundamental requirement of a pro footballer (passing to a teammate) right his tone and manner doesn’t seem right.He only seems to show a bit of passion when he gets asked a difficult question.The mindset thing is bang on.How do you change others when yours seems so blasé and unable to acknowledge your own obvious failings.Start accepting you have made mistakes and you can then start to rectify them.At the moment that looks a long way off.Maybe when we are in the bottom 2 that might do it.If only we could get him to look at the league table.We can but hope.
