I can confirm that I was at both games. Really enjoyed today but the Workington mid week match was a huge disappointment.

Gibson was tidy enough and probably their best player on the day without really threatening us though.

As for Patrick, same as when he was here, he's fast, but that's it, overall I thought he was poor, especially ball control, which was laughable on more than one occasion.

Probably Carlisle's worst player though was Pizza boy, truly shocking

Im still open minded, but looks like it was filmed by the club photographer, but if you read my comment I said “Used as a marketing ploy?” .That means some may find it questionable, as you indeed did.

The clubs Twitter feed comes across childish at times, as though it's comments made a by a kid doing his GCSEs.i guess it's all about the likes these days.

That’s the in thing these days, I follow a lot of EFL clubs on Twitter to keep up to date and they’re all the same. It’s more like it’s one guy running them all, you always get some 15 years olds creaming themselves over the odd comment though so I suppose it’s whatever sells these days. Not my cup of tea but each to their own I guess.

Before I retired my old company had an extremely large social media team , they were all aged around 20. They had access to corporate media stuff via Twitter and fFacebook and they left an old fart like me standing . It was standard to err on the jokey side of company tweets. Apparently Virgin were the masters ?

Ok folks a few thoughts, had a great weekend in York with the the West Cumbrian branch, had a few sherbets on the Friday and Saturday night, lovely Yorkshire hospitality.
Just like to apologise for the mindless numpty that shouted something towards the end of the minutes silence, I hope that most of you realised that he was the only one, and the minutes silence along with the applause at the 56 minute mark was well respected by United fans.
Thought it looked like two very average sides up until half time, although not sure what Angol's problem with us was? at least when Patrick and Gibson celebrated in front of your lot at Brunton Park, they at least were ex Bantam players. Nobody had ever heard of Mr Angol, so a bit surprising he cerebrated like he did in front of us, very strange!!!! Even the ref had to have a word with him which was about the only thing he got right all afternoon, infact I have never ever seen such a stone wall penalty turned down in my life by this Muppet. In fact he was giving so many decisions to you lot we thought you'd treat him to one of Bradford's finest curry's and slipped him a couple of hundred quid before the game. I suppose these things even themselves out over time, Mansfield scored a perfectly good goal against us a few weeks back (bounced over the line and back out again), and everybody saw it apart from the ref.
Fair enough I thought Bradford were the better side second half and just about deserved it, but with three of our normal midfielders missing it was always going to be an uphill struggle.
So honours even over the season, will be back for more next, where you will finish runners up to the mighty Blues.

Well you should really shouldn't you? Bradford are a far bigger club than us, we would only get 18,000 if we played Liverpool or any other top flight club in the the cup.
If we finish runners up to your lot then I for one wont be complaining..........................too much! :p

Marketing is all about moving with the times... So, of course, the staff will be younger and more in the know of current trends. That's good business sense

You need to find a new sport to watch because Angol celebrated as he normally does, we smashed you all first half and you were lucky it wasn't 3/4-0 and also the "penalty" was not even a foul outside of the box. You are bitter, we get it. Good luck next season with staying up

We're not a big club. Apart from the Geoffrey Richmond era we've always had the small club mentality. Who knows, we might start thinking big again one day?

Well that's a very polite whinge ! haha

I saw Angol dishing it out.
I came to two possible conclusions,
He may have been angered by one or two of your fans disrespecting the minutes silence.
Or talk in the dressing room may have been about Gibson, Patrick and one or two other city rejects giving it large at your gaff, so he felt fit to reciprocate.

City were clearly the better team on the day, as you were on the 2:0 defeat back in January
I felt the penalty was stone wall ( only seen it the once), however we've had many given against us, that were very soft.

Hopefully we'll play at your gaff on a Saturday next season, as I like the City, I may even stay over.

could not really see the penalty call , as i sit in the lower kop. We have had so many soft penalty's awarded against us and i can not honestly remember the last one we were awarded. If the ref was influenced by the crowd towards us, well its the first time, as they usually go the other way and decide to give most things against us to prove our larger crowds do not affect them, thus making the crowd size affect them. Referee's are decidedly average at our level.
Overall it was an enjoyable match for an end of season and nothing for either team but pride.
    Good luck for next season.

I predict both Cumbrian teams to be relegated next season.
