We'll be coming down to your Gaff for the end of season bash. Our initial 1200 tickets have sold out and we're getting another 800 more for behind the goal. Was just wondering what that smaller stand holds? (Not that we'll sell it out), but it is quite surprising just how quickly the initial batch went.
Nowt to play for, except that we can both celebrate our escape from the drop and we can raise a glass to another season of (very) average fair.
And on another note where's the best place to grab a couple of pints before the match? Don't mind whether its a home or away pub as I've always found Bantams fans to be a friendly lot.
    Cheers

Police will push you towards the Bradford Arms on Manningham Lane, however for those who don't think they are extras in the Football Factory most bars on North Parade are welcoming.

I don't think they will give more than 800 tickets for behind the goal, it's likely they will open the top tier and keep the bottom tier closed so I would think that is your lot for this game.

The TL Dallas stand behind that goal holds 1500 over both tiers, it used to be 1800 but they took out a block of seats in the lower tier for some reason. Not sure you will get all that stand. Poor view as well in the lower section.
I am sure you will be fine in any of the pubs, we are usually a friendly bunch. If you do not mind a walk , North parade has a good amount of independent bars that sell a good range of beers , some have food. its about a 10 to 15 minute walk .
Hope you enjoy your day , if not the result. We are certainly playing better under Mark Hughes and can not wait to see what he can do with his own players.
We will have plenty released come june, if you want to add to Riley, Mellor, Devine, Gibson, Patrick. Have i forgotten anyone.

Also its the fire memorial day, very poignant for many city fans, especially those of us present that day.
Hopefully as always the day is given the due respect it is due.

Perhaps a good indicator is this website. I always refer to it when I go to away grounds https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/league-two/valley-parade-bradford-city.html
The Sparrow is tiny, although it does have a fairly claustrophobic cellar area, which is smaller than the upstairs bar area (handy for the Loo).
If you want cask beer then you can use this link and set it to ‘real ale’ only. https://whatpub.com/search?q=BD8+7DY&t=pc&p=1&lat=53.8036&lng=-1.75948&_token=oDty8bWiMRtrL6wnwZHKAedcDtb5RKbnBLM80lgU&features=PubClub,Open,RealAle
The Bradford Arms is a ‘keg only’ establishment.

Well 'God' Paul (Simmo) Simpson, has just this afternoon signed a 3 year deal to be out permanent boss, so we're going to be in a jolly decent mood for the last couple of matches.
All together now " Simmo's at the wheel eeialeeo Simmo's at the wheel"

Ha, no I don't think you've forgotten anyone, but if you have a spare 'Patrick' hanging around then we'll have him, also (and I know your not going to like this), but Gibson on his day can be a cracking little player, Riley is a bit of a fans favourite for some reason, but personally I think he may be released, Mellor has been injured quite a bit, who is a reasonable fullback but nowt special, Devine is in and out but has never cemented a permanent starting roll, so doubtful he will still be here next season.
How's Elliot Watt getting on? always a decent player for us but looked nowt special when he played against us for your lot at BP, as was Gillehad?

Callum Guy was half decent here. Add him to the list.

You’d rather be in that East Stand if you can.

is the tea bar even open in the TL dallas these days? The view obstructing poles are a pain and there’s less legroom than in the East Stand.

Elliot is hit and miss, like many players at this level , won't be surprised if he moves on this summer. Omari and the others, nobody was sorry to see leave, Danny Devine was at school with my lad, so hoped he would make it here being a Bradford lad. We get very few coming through the ranks. Any that have a bit of talent , we sell off before they play in the first team.
Hopeful for this latest batch of under19's, who have romped their league.

Nothing against your fans or club in general.
However, I was rather hoping we could send Carlisle out of the league last game of the season, for no reason other than to laugh at several ex-city players that were giving it large at your gaff.
But, sadly not to be, always next season.

Ah, Jordan cupping his ear to the away end, after being allowed to drift infield.. Cannot blame the kid, he (and his old man) had taken some flack that afternoon. Mellor was the same getting stick.

Ah memories.. Just how poor was we that day!!

And the hostilities towards our players and Adams at the end of the game from the away end. Reckon I won't see something as volatile in many a day watching BCFC. Start of the end for Adams that day.

    .

I actually had no beef with Mellor, Gibson or Patrick, I was surprised when I saw them dishing it out
So yep, why not, a bit of banter back, I'd like to cup my ears at them whilst laughing as they went down .. still, unfortunately not to be.

It was indeed the start of the end, I mentioned at the full time whistle how people being disgruntled, had now turned very toxic, and that this was the end for DA.

Well that's really nice of you, has ex players not done that sort of thing to you before?
What Gibson and Patrick did was pretty mild considering the actions of a certain Harry McKirdy when he returned to BP early this season, mocking the crowd on all 3 sides of the home support, infact it got so bad he had to be almost guarded off the field at the end, now he IS a kangaroo. Not sure I would have wanted Swindon to get relegated because of that little toe rag.

Ex players who score against us should come immediately to our supporters shouting sorry while getting on their knees and flagellating themselves with a city scarf :)

.I think it was meant as a joke , a bit of a tongue in cheek comment. Although i will admit it does wind me up when these nobody footballers, run along our kop cupping their ears or do a silly dance. You have scored , shake hands and back for the restart. You are a league 2 footballer after all.
I am probably just old school. Enjoy the game and your day out Bluebry.

I have to smile when I read this sort of comment not aimed at you or @Johnny Yen@Johnny Yen, but fans can't have it both ways when fans give stick to players you then have accept the flack when as the above mentioned finger.jpg scores against you then does this to the home crowd.

These two quotes say it all about the lad a bit of a maverick : Manager Steven Pressley said after the game that "I'm pleased for him because he’s a really good kid. He takes a bit of managing, but he's a good kid underneath that". McKirdy scored 11 goals from 38 games to finish as United's top-scorer for the 2019/20 season. However he was released in May 2020.
Manager Chris Beech said that "I respect the skill sets he has got... [but] Harry wasn't happy... [and] I don’t want to get a footballer in a headlock and make him do something he doesn’t want to do".
Looks like he's found a club that appreciate his style not a lot you can say when he's banged in 16 goals in 31 appearances.
