16th League defeat of the season incoming.
The feel good factor didn't last long after Friday's win

There's a reason a manager is sacked after only 16 games

I seem to have become GA’s agent all of a sudden!?!
Not many mangers do make changes at half time…. Didn’t see Pep or Mikel do it yesterday and that was a shit game as well. Maybe with such quality on the bench he should have made 4 changes??

Why is passing to a teammate so hard?

Feels like Hughes made some of his own problems and then when problems appeared, the players didn't need a second invite to turn.

From a chat with a member of the squad, Hughes carried on doing the things his ex-players have had a pop at him for in the media or podcasts in recent years. So he never really talked to the group, when he did he doesn't make eye contact or control a room so lads easily switch off. Hodges was doing a lot of the authority type stuff.

Sounds like Hughes had more of a caretaker teacher reaction, that the boss.

Why does Smallwood only have one type of pass? A high, curling, hooked ball into the area.

    That's literally it.

At least all the football professors can't tell us how we play much better football without Cook to hoof it to.

This has been as dire as any performance this year. We've created next to nothing and looking second best against a distinctly poor Grimsby side.

Of the current bottom 6, if this match stays as it is, our results against them will be:
    • Swindon: 1 win, 1 loss
    • Salford: 1 draw
    • Grimsby: 1 draw, 1 loss
    • Colchester: 1 win, 1 draw
    • Sutton: 1 win, 1 loss
    • Forest Green: 1 win, 1 loss
12 points from a possible 33 points against them teams is awful and a big part of where we are.
